I actually finished Made in Abyss some days ago and I can say that it truly deserves the spotlight, The characters are amazing, the art style is really good to look at and its a really emotional anime. The heavy parts were consistent and treated with respect and the characters kept learning with the journey, If a person really likes fantasy, action and heavy subjects … Made in Abyss is a good show to sugest !

Totally agree! This show really is something special. However, I think I would add that kids under 13 should should probably wait until they are little older to watch this. It gets intense. -Carson

I didn't even think of that age ! ... I agree it might be to much for that demographic - In that case, maybe buy the anime now and watch years later ... it's still worth it ^^ ( Thanks for the reply by the way )

it's hard to overstate just how good this show is. the production value is incredible, but it also adapts the source material as faithfully as i have ever seen. a lot of it sems to be pretty much panel by panel acurate, and the slight changes are only ever additions. you can really how much passion went into every detail. one problem though .. if you get somebody hooked on anime with MIA, you'll have a hard time recommending a series that even comes close to this (yes i'm saying it!) masterpiece. PS: just one little thing you propably figured out yourself by no.. the curse only manifests when ascending from the abyss.
