I'm going retro. Started with Maschine mk3 mikro, added an MPC Studio, upgraded to Polyend Tracker, bought an SP404 mk2, and now I made a cool beat on the MPC 2500 SE. All great gear. Remembering the 90th, when a 3000 cost 10.000 guilders and more (Dutchy) if it was made of unobtainium, everything is so democratized these days. Made a part of a beat in Zenbeats even. Whether or not the 3 version of Maschine arrives, I will not upgrade, nor do I believe MPC 3.0 is the upgrade I wanted. I have no workflow, I have audio leads, inputs, outputs, cd players, a Technics deck, audio tapes, some synths from the nineties even. The 2500 has muddled its way into the heart of the system in 3 weeks flat. What a smasher with JJOS XL on it.

I’m done personally. I can’t think of a feature that NI can add that will have me add new hardware to my lab. If they bring out a feature but have to upgrade my Mac I’m out. It’s been a great run but I’m finally good
