As a long time Christian, I find it interesting how many Christians judge your weakness by their strength. People with a low sex drive judge people with a high sex drive for masturbating, who may be doing that to keep from committing adulatory. The low sex drive person may struggle with anger, cruelty, lying cheating etc. As soon as we judge others, we ourselves are sinners. I cannot escape sinning, only trust in Gods Grace through Jesus Christ.

Julio Arriola Masturbation is a sin because you are sinning against your own body and you’re sinning even in your thoughts. Jesus said that if a man should even look upon a woman (or if you are a woman, a man), lustfully, he has committed adultery (Matt 5:27-28) We have to remember that our bodies are the temple of God so we have to be mindful of what we do to our bodies. God wants us to die to the desires of our flesh and grow in the things of the spirit but if our flesh is dominating our lives, it gives the enemy the opportunity to do whatever he wants in our lives. I used to have this problem and I prayed and surrendered myself and my sexuality to God, asked for forgiveness for indulging in that sin and I commanded the spirit of masturbation and lust to leave me. I felt something leave my body and since then, I have never had the desire to masturbate again. God is able to deliver you from it if only you pray and ask Him to release you from this sin by repenting, surrendering and rebuking the devil. I pray that God breaks the spirit of lust off of you and releases you from that sin so that you can be free to live righteously. Amen!

I will pray for you and ask you do the same for me. One way I've begun to look at this struggle is like our spirit and mind being an empty glass. And, one of the best ways to deal with sin is to not give it room in our lives. So instead of trying to fight urges and desires in the flesh we can focus on just having more of the Lord in our lives. So when we fill our glass up with Jesus and His word and surround ourselves with brothers and sisters in the Lord it doesn't provide space for sin. Our glass is full of Christ-like things. This has helped me and I pray it will help you too.

There is a big difference between a man sexual drive and a woman's. Our natural desire for sex is fired up very quickly which is different from that of a woman. Paul said that if we can't control ourselves we should marry. Sexual desire is not the same as stealing, robbing, or lying. This is a bodily function that pressures us to satisfy it. Yes, we need to control this urge and God will help us but we may fail a few times before we are able to. To see sexual sin as the most terrible sin is disproportionate. Child abuse obviously terrible since there is great psychological and emotional harm that is done. If masturbation was the worse of it, it would not be so bad. We just have to live like the apostle Paul said " not everything is beneficial to me and I am not going to become the slave of anything" we should live our lives with this premise and if we fail sometimes, just get up and continue doing the right thing.

I'm 26 and have struggled with pornography consumption heavily since I was 14. I can't speak for any other generation but for my generation specifically (millennials), internet pornography has ruined many of our lives. We are truly a victim of our times...I often wish I was born decades earlier so I wouldn't have had to grow up with easily accessible internet pornography. Quitting this wickedness for good is easily the hardest thing I have ever attempted bar none. I've been single my entire life and suffer from clinical depression which have contributed significantly to the sheer difficulty of kicking this addiction; loneliness + depression + high libido = a lot of porn consumption. I literally can't stop...I am so sorry Jesus. I love you more than anything but I can't stop this

The key to your deliverance is to genuinely repent. When it comes to porn watching or anything else, that means coming into 100% agreement with God about what is good that you should pursue and what is evil that you need to turn away from. Repentance is the key to answered prayers as well, for forgiveness of sins or anything else (Isaiah 59:1-2, 1 Peter 3:12). Jesus will completely deliver you, but you have to do your part and genuinely repent first to get on the same page with God about everything in your life. You must start submitting to God and resisting the devil (James 4:7-8). You will then see the lasting result of being empowered by God's grace to live a new life that is pleasing to Him (Titus 2:11-14). I want to give you the encouragement of Romans, and I'm struggling to accept Paul's words in this too, he says if we have heard the gospel and believed it and then gotten baptized and become part of the faith, that we are Justified before God and that we have been freed from slavery to sin because we died at baptism, and so sin we were a slave to lost its right over us when we died, our contract ended at death, but we were resurrected when we came about the water and now we are free to do whatever we want, but let's use our freedom to follow Christ who gave us this freedom. I do believe that masterbation is a sin which a lot us men suffer, but I found out that when i start having these desires I start speaking The Word of God. I find 💯 percent relief from these desires. My favorite Scripture is Psalm 23. The Word of God is our Sword to use at a time when we are struggling with lust or any other sin.

Im a woman and i struggle with it. Im not ashamed about it anymore i remember after i would end up going to the bathroom and asking God to forgive me everyday mind you. I started talking to God and saying i understand i need a partner i was built to be with a man i have been doing things independently for so long and if i needed help with something i would ask my dad or a sis. You look at it as a whole, and sex is for marriage and outside of that it is defined as fornication (sexual uncleanness). Even in OT law it is written that if any man has an emission, he must bathe and will be unclean until evening. We have two natures: one is the spiritual and the other is the flesh (sinful nature). These two are contrary. Paul wrote in Romans 8:13 that if you live by the flesh you will die but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the flesh you will live because those who are led by the Spirit are the sons of God. You can believe what you will but I suggest you speak with God directly and see what He teaches you in His Word. Thanks for the discussion and I would be glad to continue.

That verse (and the other couple of verses surrounding that verse) is pointing out that whatever a believer isn't meant to do physically to another individual shouldn't even be tolerated in the mind. So in that sense it's possible to extend the teaching to singles. By extension, it implies that if a single person isn't expected to have premarital sex with another single person, it should also mean that a single person is also not expected to lust after another person if you have no plan/desire of getting married to that person because it'd mean you're lusting after someone who's going to be potentially someone else's wife/husband. For example take the case of Amnon and Tamar. Amnon had no intention of getting married to Tamar and so his desire towards her was purely of a lustful nature. I don't know if this is what you're asking of though or if I misunderstood your question but I do hope this helps in shedding some light on your question.

You have to replace the thoughts you don't want with thoughts that you know are pleasing to God. Consider how much of God's word you are putting in your heart and meditating on daily. If you are not doing that, you are not fighting the devil, you are not doing God's will (obeying Him out of love). God wants you to submit to Him and resist the devil and take a firm stance against all that you know to be sin by turning away from it (James 4:7-8).

Lori Patterson, The answer to the question the video is asking can be sought and found by each one in his/her own relationship with God. He will surely point out anything that is possibly in the way of closeness to Him, whether that's a wrong action or a wrong mindset. So, a person needs to focus on having a relationship with God or deepening his/her relationship with God. Then he/she will be able to seek his precise guidance. Masturbation is a sin if you are choosing to do it to gratify the desires of your flesh and feed an addiction, when you know you should have resisted the urge and denied yourself instead (Luke 9:23), calling upon God for help as needed (Hebrews 4:15-16). The repeated failure to deny oneself a gratification of the flesh is how addiction starts to begin with. Then self-control is undermined. Other sins that may go along with masturbation itself would come from a heart that is not kept pure (God cares about purity of heart - James 4:8, 1 Timothy 1:5, Matthew 5:8). Jesus actually taught that if a man lusts after a woman (a wife/married woman), He has already committed adultery with her in his heart. That's what is taught in Matthew 5:28. It must be a married woman (someone else's wife) for adultery to be committed. If the man himself is a married man, adultery would be committed likewise but in that verse the woman was the focus. Otherwise, by the same principle of sin beginning in the heart (Mark 7:21-23), fornication could also be the sin committed by someone who regards women as sex objects for instance and desires to have sex with them in a context void of love or any commitment toward such women.

If you want to use that hermeneutic, then when you eat in a way that is not completely for nutrition but for taste (ice cream sundae), when you relieve yourself in the bathroom, when you lay in a hammock or do anything to please yourself physically you are also giving into the same lust of the flesh. Lust and masturbation are usually linked but they aren't inherently casually related. Fantasy is also usually linked but not inherently linked. Masturbation can be done without fantasy in the same way that fantasy can be done without masturbation. However, to go the extra mile, Paul says "I will not be mastered by anything" so it might be wise to strive to eliminate it if it controls you or your conscience is bothered by it.

Keeping God's commandments = obeying Him = doing his will, and that's the opposite of sinning. You need to reconcile these verses and find out exactly what these scriptures are saying. It's best to read the whole book of 1 John at once. Anyway, yes, I encourage you to do that thinking. Because if there is a way to not keep doing what you don't like and that God also hates, then you want to find that way.

The spirit revealed to me it’s not the act, but what the act opens the doors to. The spirits that it invites in and the temptation to take oneself from masturbation to the strong desire of having actual sex. I can see how it can easily lead someone to actual fornication at some point. Same thing with porn. It invites that spirit of lust which is a very strong spirit. Before you know, you’re calling a friend, an ex, or going out to your local club to find someone to satisfy that desire and now we’ve got an even bigger problem. Things that seem small eventually become big and that’s how the enemy gets us. We cannot be oblivious to his schemes.

Actually, there are an infinite number of sins which one can commit (and an infinite number of good deeds). However, they all follow the same underlying logic, and thus can be derived from the existing laws stated in the Bible (such as from the Ten Commandments). Please God you do know me more than I than I do, forgive for doing it for from 2016 to 2020, I bow down before you and saying please Daddy forgive, clean me and I will be cleaned, wash me O, Lord and I will be washed, There's nowhere I can go and ask for but I know you're faithful and you will never change with me, please forgive and help me to be ready to follow the scripture as it says me to and give me the willingness to do your will right as you recommend me to, in Jesus name I pray Amen Amen Amen 🙏🙏🙏

Secondly, In Matthews JESUS said if you look with lustful intent you have already committed adultery in your heart. When one masterbates, he has an image in his mind an a visual video in his head. I would know. I stopped. I prayed. I'm cured, this is how I stopped, I told my self if I never do it again and push past the crave what would happen? I stopped an had a pain in my lower belly but said I will see what happens if I keep feeling the pain. After a hour or more the pain went. Then I knew I didn't need to do it as it was just a Demonic trick. You won't die if you don't masterbait. Ask GOD in the name of JESUS CHRIST for the power or knowledge. Oh do this too (ACTS 2:38)

To sum up what I’m saying is I was deliberately sinning against the blood of Jesus. In the Lord and his mercy came to me and showed me the truth. I wish I had come to a place in thinking God will continue to forgive me continue to forgive me continue to forgive me and I became numb to the conviction of the Holy Spirit. This is a very serious place to be. Someone that keeps sending over and over again is in great danger I know this. I experienced it firsthand. And the Lord said you’re going to eat of this and then you’re going to deliver to my people. So if you’re deliberately sinning against the blood of Jesus you better stop.
