Beau had a nervous breakdown after a news story that said he was a human trafficker when in reality he had been working on a piece of investigative journalism on human trafficking when he decided to try and rescue these trafficked people. He became mentally unstable after heavy drinking and lost his cool over his mistaken reputation. Beau has been a very charitable person with his success. It's depressing how few people can show empathy for their fellow humans. It's not weakness to show compassion, it's strength.

I've worked for Tim Walz and have heard him speak in person many times. He's a good honest man with a heart of gold, he has done amazing things for us in Minnesota. We're really sorry to lose him to the VP job because he has done so much for us here in Minneapolis where I live and across the state. Every day he's been in office working for the people of Minnesota has been a blessing to all of us, no matter our politics. BUT when he becomes the VP he will leave Minnesota in the capable hands of Peggy Flanagan, who will become the first Native American governor of a US state. She's great and will also do a great job, but Tim has that friendly dad energy that I think perfectly complements Kamala's campaign. "Minnesota nice" is sort of an insult, you say a person is "Minnesota Nice" to mean they're not really nice although they might act that way to your face. It's a scandinavian thing, where even if you hate a person you'll be friendly toward them and help them whenever they need help because you might need their help one day. Countries like Sweden and Norway (where the majority of Minnesotans come from) are socialist and every person wants to help their neighbor as much as they can even if they disagree with them and don't like them. That's "Minnesota Nice." So we will dig your car out of a snowdrift ten times and bring you to work and help you buy groceries, but that doesn't mean we want to be your friend. A lot of people from elsewhere assume that if a person is that f-ing helpful and nice and kind, that it means we're friends. But that's not the case in Minnesota.

Minnesota nice is just a nice slogan that paints Minnesota in a good light. Having said that, I have personally and professionally experienced mostly Minnesota nice. Let me put it this way: I am an independent who leans progressive, and even though I can work from anywhere in the country (or world), I plan to live and work here in good ol' Minnesota indefinitely. For purposes of transparency, living in the Twin Cities is a different experience from living in other urban or more rural areas of Minnesota. You just got a new subscriber. I hope we both make it through this upcoming presidential election with our sanity intact. I hate politics, but unfortunately it's a necessary evil. ✌🏾 P.S. I voted for Tim Walz. She was a victim of Trump's Extreme Vetting in the Philippines from 2017 to 2019. There is no way I could vote for Trump.
