Excellent interview and excellent topic for a podcast. There are many other sports that Montrealers are interested in tuning into than just the Montreal Canadiens. Personally, I've gotten tired of only hearing about the Habs.

SICK!! Need that top 3 pick in 2023 and top 5 in 2024. SICK!!! Don't forget that McDavid guy and Matthews is better than any player Montreal has had since Guy Lafleur (so we are talking over 40 years). If you are under 30, you have never been to a Cup parade in Montreal. SICK!!

Tony, all this talk about how media talks about Toronto teams. Who owns those teams, one should ask? It's in the best interest of Rogers to speak about all their teams.

If the draft was today, between our lottery odds and Florida's we'd have over a 20% chance of getting a top 2 pick. Also, us and Florida both have very hard schedules for the rest of the season. If Montreal and Florida both stay in the bottom 10, then getting Bedard or Fantilli is a very real possibility.

i been away doing things sorry imo montreal isnt even a habs city any more. when they are winning sure no problem. any of those fans wanting a tank watching any games this season ? the team is young and exciting with potential ,but if bedard isnt in the cards its an excuse to not watch. they wouldnt be there even if the habs were last...i think management knows this. the reason to not go to expos games was: the roof is falling,the team is being deconstructed the owner is a bum...some of us went.but i could only go to two games a year one on canada day.i did my part.and i didnt even live there anymore. is montreal a sports city? only when the habs win. would they support a basketball team? sure at first,until they sour of the losing...theyll be there when the winning starts.saying they were there all along.just like in habsland sick #gohabsgo

Oh please... soccer is not the beautiful game, little whiners running around a field... Hockey requires the most skills & is played by real athletes... I'll put a hockey player up against a soccer anytime for skillsets required... I cringe ever time I see floppers on the grass looking for a penality... little flowers playing men of skill, please...

AHL level football. The worst NFL team (Houston this year) would most likely beat the best CFL team by 28 points minimum under CFL rules.

Montreal is really about the Canadians. They not only will not embrace you if you are not French Canadian, but they totally dislike anyone who is not, so Montreal will never be a complete sports city.
