The 2023 was never lacking power. 70-80-95 MPH the usual of what Riders do on the road was always there. I should know, I have a 900 GT-Pro, and it’s probably the best “Goldilocks Motorcycle” in that it does Everything well. I’m not a Dirt guy, so it’s never been dirty, but a a comfortable Touring Bike, with every option imaginable, no issue at all, Great Bike. 👍🇬🇧

When you say touring, how long can ride for in a day without being uncomfortable? Tks
@CWjustindawes10 ай бұрын
it only was lacking on the spec sheet, which is a problem when it's difficult to get test rides in the USA before buying... it can also be an issue when critical direct comparisons are made in magazine tests. BUT if you are riding it, the older model is great, but this is even better.

The tiger already blew the BMW F850GS out of the water when it came to power. That was never in question.
@cesarcuazitl8 ай бұрын
I'm here just for considering the change of my 850gs. Today I went to see the "new" bmw 900, and has nothing like an "upgrade" comming from an 850, it even has 1.5 liter less thatn the 850! ¬¬! This Tiger has 21 liter gas tank, adjustable windshield, heated seats, explorer lights, lighter and more power than 900BMW, there's nothing to compare TBH.
@uttamgala71868 ай бұрын
@@cesarcuazitl Just depends what you're looking for. I do love the BMW's as well, but yes, it's hard to beat Triumph when it comes to features at the price point. Lower cost of ownership overall. I enjoy my Tiger 1200 - it's an absolute highway beast.

I bought a new Triumph Tiger 800XC in 2013 because it was also beating BMW. I should have bought anything else. The bike was a parade of "known issues", the dealer couldn't care less and neither could Triumph. I won't make that mistake again.

Does it come with a stick to pry mud out from between the wheel and the front fender? i know its not a dirt bike and Im just looking at an image maybe my paranoia having taken road bikes where they don't belong and looking for a stick.

Hi i always wondered about Triumph putting a 19 inch front wheel on the front of what is esentially a road going motorcycle in the 900 gt pro, most people talk about the stearing being slow, with a 19 inch front its kinda obvious .
@LazyJack200310 ай бұрын
Hi, I ride an 800Xrx, so basically the predecessor of the 900GT. Yes, they are road oriented, but can do much more "off-tarmac" than many might think. They offer sufficient suspension travel for unpaved ground and the 19" makes for good off-tarmac and even off-road riding. I think it is a great combination for e.g. my kind of touring. I do a 6.000 - 7.000 km tour every summer and mix in quite a bit of gravel and forest roads and I am very happy with that 19" wheel. Both, in the dirt as well as on the road. If I wanted a "tarmac only"-tourer - well there are plenty of alternatives.

13% more but from Triumph's published chart, it's still heaped up right at the very top end where I don't go on this bike. The valve clearance interval (major service) has been increased to 18,000 miles. The new dash is a welcome relief coz the current horizontal tacho design is just plain stupid.

Power was the never the problem. It was heavier than the KTM, more twitchy than most in the class off-rad due to the lower rake, and had those stupid electronics that didn't remember your settings when you turned the bike off, and couldn't be changed on the fly.

Oh I didn’t have to get a second mortgage to buy it.

My settings are remembered, and the only modes you have to stop for are two up or luggage and off road , not that I ride off road so that one doesn't matter for me

@@RideFree317That's great. So you can turn off ABS and then when you turn off the ignition and turn it back on the ABS is still set to off? If so that is an improvement over the previous Tiger 900 which required you to press a button within a certain time period in order to go back to the last setting.
