SA never ceases to amaze me. My first handgun was a SA mil-spec GI 1911. Then moved to an XDm 3.8 compact in .45acp. Now I need Hellcat and Prodigy compact. Love it!
@popupheadlights12 күн бұрын
The echelon 4.0c is also pretty much the best compact sized handgun on the market. Modular like the 320, best frame design, only better factory triggers are walther/canik, best optics mount system and best slide design. I have well over 1k trough mine already and no issues with mixed 115 grain range ammo and critical defense 124 +p
@mannytut137812 күн бұрын
@popupheadlights I love the aesthetics of the Echelon but I think the compact may be a bit too bulky still for concealed carry. I could be wrong having never touched one. Just seems that way
@popupheadlights12 күн бұрын
@mannytut1378 if you can handle a 320 or a glock 19 the echelon falls right into that category. I think it's actually just a tad thinner then a 19 but from looks your right and it does look bulky due to the slider serrations.

I got the XDM elite 10mm 4” and I absolutely love it. I have 350 rounds through without any issues whatsoever. It was a gear up package deal at 600$. I got it to replace a gen 1 Colt delta elite I own and used as my edc at one time. Now my edc is the Mossberg MC2sc and I love it. It’s very reliable and from all the reviews I have seen on it this gun takes a beating and keeps going. As for the Springfield this gun has eaten everything I’ve fed it and has been very accurate right out of the box. Springfield has definitely been kicking ass with their XD line I’m definitely interested in the prodigy line but will have to save up for it. Thanks for doing what you do. Keep shooting.

Thank you for not hanging a big honking light on your Prodigy for your "gun" review. So many think that's cool apprently. It actually takes away from the looks of the gun and potentially screws with being able to determine just how snappy the gun is when shooting. I have a Hellcat also and I believe the Prodigy 3.5 uses the same "Adaptive Grip Texture" which is awesome. I called Springfield and unfortunately they don't yet offer a 10 round magazine for those like me living in communist NY. Guess I'll have to settle for the Staccato CS for another thousand!

I would love a full size prodigy but this is also very cool. Hope it earns a spot on your carry rotation. I also absolutely love the xdm elite osp. If I could have any two guns right now it would be one of those two.
@doctorgears935812 күн бұрын
I could be wrong but I believe the Prodigy is one of the guns Springfield actually makes themselves. Echelon, Hellcat, XD, and Hellion are all Croatian imports. I, personally, trust the stuff that comes out of HS Produkt's factory more than what comes out of Springfield's. With that said, I do have more money than sense and own a Prodigy from the earlier runs. It failed every other mag and needed to go to Springfield. They messed with it for 6 weeks and now it works fine. Fun range toy, would never carry it. All in all, I think one of the worst feelings is getting a new firearm and it just doesn't run. I can't fathom why people keep coming back to beta test Sig's guns.

Yes a great gun but decided against it as not so good for everyday carry if you add a red dot. You lose the rear sight so no co-witnessing should your optic ever fail. The Prodigy plate system ensures you don't lose that rear sight.

Striker-Fired triggers are getting better but still do not compare to a single-action-only Hammer-Fired pistol. I own both and personally shoot my SAO pistols significantly better than any striker-fired gun. For my carry gun I stick with an SAO trigger and will never regret spending the extra money. I figure my life is worth more than a Glock in my holster and 2 more in my safe.
@michaelpiliero975512 күн бұрын
@@bradleyp14 so it’s not about money brother. I also own staccatos, three Sig legion SAOs, Cz. All hammer fire pistols and enjoy them all. But to defend my life and my family, Glock reliability all day. None compare. And those tighter built platforms, don’t get them dirty, especially Sandy. They malfunction regularly. That’s why 90% of world military use striker fire sidearms. But enjoy whatever platform you want.
