Yesterday I was running around in doubloon location, a musket guy started shooting me, I rode to him and 3 more people jumped on me from behind the stone he was standing on, I started running away and dodging them, eventually we ran to another group of ~3 players and these two groups started fighting each other, I successfully ran away, peak gaming experience 👍

With the additional gear score increase to 725 dungeons have not been popping. There are just a few things to do for me endgame now. Which is the opposite of what players had been asking for. I think Amazon will simply never understand endgame, which is why this game gets some kind of "relaunch every year or so.

Endgame is even worse cuz there is no point to repeat raid more then once a week and as u said m3 is officially dead content. For me it is worth. I played since launch with some Breaks in between, almost got 1k hours. With the Aeternum i started new, Play with Controller and so far I enjoy IT a Lot. The new storytelling is good, Controller feels great. I think IT IS the best Version of the game so far. And since I already loved the original NW for it's beautiful world, crafting and espacially Open world PVP, I am Happy to re-expirience it in a new way.

And even though he doesn’t hate the game, the passion is gone. I've been playing since release, and have over 2k hours on 1 character. I returned with the update and start a new character, and the story is actually a story worth following, and leveling has been great. No mindless farming town boards, I got to level 60 in a week of casual play. I really like the changes.

Best way to level up through PvE is doing MSQ (it will take you straight to lvl 65), so I don't quite see your point on there being no linear, clear path of progression for new players.

I am praying the road map they plan on releasing slaps. Because the experience so far as a returnjng pc player starting its has been excellent. The story an actual story is actually decent and the voice acting you can tell they paid good money for its not cheap feeling at all it feels like care and planning was put into it. The opening cinematic was well done. My only thing that im worried about is what end game is coming and if its coming at all. However i have been watching streams and the new raid seems to be very well recieved.

I've been around since the beginning and I'm having a blast on fresh start. Whether or not it has longevity left in it will be up to AGS and if they can deliver on focusing on new end game content in a timely manner. That's a big if, but at least for now I'm still enjoying the game well into my five thousandish hours. For the $70ish I've spent on the game, the return is an amazing value. It's worth buying, and it's worth coming back to at least for a bit if you have been taking a break.

The answer is yes. People who quit the game at launch because it was bad haven’t even given it a second look and it’s hard to see when you play it off and on year round but they have flipped this game around on the same level as cyberpunk. But it gets zero credit. The console launch was a genius way to save this game because those people on console who like MMOs have nothing but p2w trash. The devs perfected some of these things. The story and quests are totally fine if you ask me, but I don’t look for things to complain about I just complain when something is bad. I don’t really care about story but I’ve played for years now and learned so much leveling this time and had some cool moments where questions got answered. Go find a live service dev who will do that, I come from Destiny they stretched the same story out for 10 years with no answers really. But please try it again or try it for the first time.

Def experienced some teaming. I was just trying to get Lost kills in the Citadel for the other artifact flail. The zone is just a bunch of campers waiting to gank with the blunderbussy. I had a lot of fun trying to do the raid though! Hard to find a solid group which is frustrating. I also can’t upgrade my artifacts to 725 right now. I heard it’s bugged but it would be nice for the raid.

Took a break after the Elysian Wilds update and I am having a fun time. The new Cutless Keys is cool and they redid the entire area, not just the PVP zone. The new raid is very good and way better than the worm. My main complaint is that the path to get 725 gear has effectively killed dungeons runs. Why not have 725 drops in M3's?

in WoW the endgame was raid oriented and the levelling IMO is more monotonous and people would boost to avoid the levelling part. But in New World the levelling is more fun than the endgame content IMO

It's all action combat, no lock on. Think Dark Souls- but even then you can lock on to stuff, but it's purely action combat. Aim your spells to hit things :)

I was really enjoying the game until I came up against Medusa in the MSQ chain, I tried and tried and tried to kill her to no avail, other than go in the event with upgraded armour and weapons I personly see no other way for me to defeat this boss, to upgrade items I find is so frustrating and not enjoyable or fun so I have walked away because end game was becoming a chore for me. Putting required items behind PvP is also no fun for me either and I feel not a good thing to do.

After watching bots absolutely destroy the crafting community years back and see AGS do literally nothing, I can't give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe for $20 but, as much as I'm hopeful, I do not think the game is even attempting the concept that got me interested to begin with. The game is good, so its not all fair to ruin the new peoples fun. The problem is the people running it. Sadly they just are very unaware of this.. The new UI is NOT the same lol, its bulky, intrusive it is awful compared to before. I can not believe they gave us this after years and no way to scale.. But then wait, I can believe it. It would be nice though if they took this as a chance to reboot themselves, but they are not.. which is why this will end up right where it was before. :/ I am not hating on this.. I want it to survive, thats the entire point.

Its an all right game 185 hours in and finally sick of it. the story is good but not the best worth seeing once at least. the combat is not flashy like black desert but still fun and engaging. the end game is a little non-existent right now from what I have seen you go through 1 man trials daily to try to get all your gear to 650 and maybe your pick of 700 weapon then you go straight for the raids that drop 725 gear items then your done if your not done after you get done with the story. this is not a eso or a guild wars 2 situation where you have a never ending quest yes it has voice acted side quests but there is no real reason to do them after you hit cap like in eso with champion points or in guild wars 2 for map completion and Gold runs so you might as well say they are filler content same for crafting it takes forever to get your crafting up to 250 just for one thing I myself have not done it for any crafting jobs and its more or less pointless to do in the first place there is little to know pay out for it same for housing yes you can buy a house and use it for buff to crafting and what not witch is good but for someone that wants to do linear progression as their primary form of gameplay there just is not much hear its a good game but not one I would ever come back to after completing the story and doing the dungeons and raids if that because after the story all you have left is mindless grinding and I mean a lot of mindless grinding in crafting and very little grinding in dungeons and raids witch is good because this game does not have a lot of replay value for me. I don't like the fact that humans are the only race but I got past that. overall its a 6 out of ten if your looking to play a game to endgame and have something fun to do before endgame and at endgame. there are way better options out there verses new world when it comes right down to it I'm only playing it because it does things a little differently than normal mmorpg games and it has controller support.

Brimstone Sands brought back 130k players. Rise of the Angry Earth brought back 70k players. Aeternum brought back 50k players. The game is dying because it can't keep players. Bringing new players into the ecosystem is pointless because, like in the last 3 years, they stop playing around New Year's because they realize there is no (good) endgame content. The same problem that has existed for 3 years still exists. This is not hate. This is a fact that new and old players on Hopium will run into the same wall again. AGS doesn't have people to fix the game, add content and work on the Lord of the Rings MMO at the same time.

It's worth it to play it on console, because its a new game for us. For pc players stop crying already. Just play the game and stop complaining, pc players don't want to start all over. All they want to do is merge their pc account to console severs. It's not very fair for new players that way, lv1 vs lv 60. 🙄😒 to make it fair everyone pc player starts all over, to match it with consoles players. Common sense.
