Regardless of whether this product flops or finds limited success, I'm really glad Nintendo is a company that still isn't afraid to try new and crazy things. I think this might be Nintendo's way of testing a wide variety of peripherals without committing to high budget products. I mean, you could theoretically make a keyboard/mouse/joystick if Nintendo/3rd party decided to try making a game that would require such a peripheral. Light gun games used to cost $100+ just because they had to be bundled and were few and far between because they required you to have an expensive accessory. Labo might allow developers to take more risks since the venture will be less costly.

No, you pay them for software and you get a bunch of cardboard with it. You don't actually have to use the provided cardboard, it's just easier because it is pre-cut. You can use any cardboard you want. In fact, you don't even need to use cardboard in the first place!

(Well, you can see ONE thing you can do with it) My brother recently got Labo, and it's so awesome. It's honestly fun building the Toy-Cons, and it's really fun to play around with what you just made. (Btw it's not just regular cardboard, it's actually really sturdy and nice to bend.)

My 8yo loves it. She’s put together the fishing rod and the house. She played with each one for a while after. We are slowly working through the box and u can reorder the cardboard for cheap it’s the game that is expensive. We are loving it. She makes them mostly by herself which is fantastic.

I got the vehicle kit from Nintendo through a Facebook contest here in Canada, and built it with my 9 year old son. It really is spectacular what Nintendo has done from an innovation perspective. The build time, doing it together, was great fun, and the play itself is totally worth it!

People got mad over this coz it's made of cardboard but it's actually designed well and the assembly is just as fun. My family enjoys this a lot and has been a part of our bonding time (my dad and my sister has fought over the fishing game). I'm definitely getting another kit for us soon (we got the variety kit as a bundle with the Switch we got) and I'm super excited to assemble more.

I actually really like it because it enables a lotta creavity for ppl, its a strong way to prototype something at home as with like a Nintendo starter kit. And if you like what youve built then you can build a 3D printed version to keep forever or share online.

The difference between a PS1 and a PS4 is basically just the computing power.
