Thanks for watching!! Here’s a link to our Discord server: discord.gg/RJWZ8tVzwB Also, yes, I like Egoraptor. Of course. Not denying this. Arin did something brilliant with this format and I always thought it should be used more. Started animated six months ago, so enjoy the journey as it slowly becomes its own thing. Haha.

This hits me hard as an avid retrogamer. Am I playing these games just to relieve the memories of the past or really these games are that better without DLCs, microtransactions, lootboxes and all this shit? Or maybe it's both?

Nostalgic for stuff i wasnt even alive for,,, i feel called out,,, ive never experienced farming with a steam tractor (yet) but my experience farming with horses is night and day more enjoyable than dealing with broken electronics on a modern tractor i guess my gut feeling of nostalgia from my great grandparents stories was correct im happier with the old equipment then modern equivalent

I think chalking up longing for the past as mere nostalgia is unfair. Can nostalgia skew our perceptions? Sure it can, but if you are doing your best to perceive things through an objective lense then nostalgia will very rarely skew your perception. Those who attack people who say that the past had many superior aspects by saying they're just viewing things through the lense of nostalgia or "rose tinted glasses" I see as either coping themselves by trying to convince themselves that everything is alright, or I see them as being malicious in nature. Whose to say that those who attack those who wish for better situations by labling them as Nostalgia Chasers aren't taking money from those who don't want people thinking about the ways that things suck now? I should clarify that I see you as an intellectual, I don't think you fit in to either of these categories. Good video as always.

Some things from the past should be cherished, but not everything was magical. I mean who wants the berlin wall back? I prefer if corporations focus on creating new interesting IPs instead of making countless sequels. All good things must to come to an end.

Nah. This is the neverending cycle. People in the 2000s/10s who were nostalgic for the 80s wish they'd lived in that time and lament their current one. There were people in the 80s who were nostalgic for the 60s lamenting their time and so on. That's just how it goes. Parents hear their kid is wishing they were born in [time their parents were from/lived through] and the parents are various levels of amused and baffled because maybe it was cool but it wasn't *that* great. It's the same sort of phenomenon as every generation thinking earlier music was better and that current music is bad.

I haven't reached the point where I get nostalgic for anything and I'm in my 30s. Then again I didn't remember much about the games I played in the PS1. Also going back to the 90s means the Asian Financial Crisis, no MRT in Jakarta, and no Whoosh HSR, and I don't really like that.

Exactly people can’t being nostalgic over the past forever people need to move on unless they saw or watched/played the media growing up like with the Star Wars movies new and old viewers are still watching Star Wars even I grew up with Star Wars(not much but I knew the lore and I dressed up as Vader when I was 10 for Halloween) and it made me sad inside when I heard the news of James Earls Jones died on September 9th
