I think we need to stop trying to aim for the bare minimum for Jesus, and start walking in a way that draws nearer to Jesus every choice we make.

Mindy, why do you say such a thing? It seems clear that you already aim for the truest because Christ is drawing you toward Him. You say "we", "stop", and "start". Believing what is true is the key. Speaking what is true is to offer Light. It's good to rejoice and be glad because Christ is our Good Shepherd. This may sound knit-picky, but "every choice we make" is to knit-pick. Also, Truth is sharper than any two-edged sword, and sharp is precise. I agree that we need to not aim for the bare minimum, but we cannot stop such if we have already been stopped from such by Christ. I agree that we should draw nearer to Him in every choice, but we can't start such if Christ has already started us on such. There is much talk of how not good enough we are, much warning. But we have been given eternal life. For many the time for warning is past and the time for encouragement is now. We will not be that nor do that which we do not believe. A walk that draws closer to Jesus means you are walking further away from the world. as I have drawn closer to Him, I have laid aside more weights that though they were not sin their weight was a hindrance to my walk, I do not want any strings tying me down to this world When Jesus comes, or I go by the way of the grave.

Jesus's crucifixion is the means by which we may be forgiven. This doesn't mean that His sacrifice isn't enough to remove and forgive us for our sins, but it means that if we continue in sin and remain unrepentant, we can and will lose salvation. Good works go hand in hand in faith. There are a plethora of verses in Mark, Peter, and Matthew that say that we must strive for righteousness. Therefore, good works go hand in hand. We can be forgiven for our sins, but we should not live in them. This is not works based salvation. Righteousness is a lack of evil works. A lack of works. Faith and repentance still save. Repentance is not a work, because it is a work of God to forgive us for our sins. Salvation can be lost. It's a day by day task for a lifetime, not a lifetime that decides whether or not every previous day was enough

The lord said he will never loose any whom the father as given to him . That's why I believe if someone is truly born of the spirit they cannot loose their salvation. I believe some believers are like the prodigal son at times believers get weak sometimes dry get discouraged fall away but God knows how to get them back on track. He will never loose anyone who truly belongs to him .

It is very relevant. Changing wording changes meaning. Are saved and being saved are not the same thing. Recieving the spirit vs received the spirit is not the same thing. Passed from death to life vs passing from death to life cannot be the same thing. I have a million dollars or I will at some point have a million dollars is completely different. I have salvation because I believe Or I will have salvation at some point if I keep believing are two different statements. Yes it is relevant

There are only 144,000 that are sealed. That’s in Revelations. Everyone is not sealed. That seal means sealed with truth.

did you catch that????? You conveniently added the word Forever but it never said forever! and also you conveniently skipped over the fact that the word sealed is used in the bible as a stamp a mark NOT as meaning it is Closed and Locked in that is a different definition of the word. You are using the definition of sealing something like "locked in" yet the bible speaks of a seal as being a mark or symbol representing ownership. In verse 14 RIGHT AFTER THIS VERSE in the bible it refers to it like a Down payment or a deposit. But does a down payment/deposit, a symbol showing you are God's that he purchased you and you belong to him, mean that it is "unsealable" and he cant cut you off? He cant remove his deposit? no because being marked doesnt mean you cannot be disowned. But of course to remain consistent with your already preferred idea of osas you have to be told that seal means locked in so you can feel comfortable. Even though the word used in the greek for seal is to mark. not to close up or lock in. I suggest you reread the word through clean and unbiased eyes. I was misled with this same point once too till God opened my eyes.

Edward Russell agreed, but it’s not our works that saves us, it’s our faith through grace, a gift from the Lord. Good works is evidence of our faith, something that naturally occurs because God lives in us and sanctifies us, but it’s not what determines our salvation. We just have to examine if our faith is truly in Christ because even demons believe in the name of Jesus.

After the cross, its all about "Faith" to be "Saved" so in our Church age, we have Faith and Faith alone but you show your works "after" you've been saved, by the Fruits that we produce in Christ🙏

Dee Money1990 Romans 4:5 and Ephesians 2:8-9 all speak about justification of faith. It’s not salvation in the context of its entirety. The salvation that is being implied there is salvation from the wrath of God, of which all believers are said to have been freed from after they believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Justification of faith is just the prelude to your salvation (John 1:12). It’s not salvation in the fulness of its essence.

The entire chapter is not talking about running the race in order to earn one’s keep with God. It’s talking about running in order to obtain a prize (i.e., an eternal reward). Eternal life is a free-gift received at the moment of belief, whereas, eternal rewards are earned by a life of faithfulness. Paul speaks about an incorruptible crown which will be earned by remaining disciplined in service to the Lord. Paul is by no means teaching that we have to prove we deserve to be kept least at any given moment God gets rid of us.

He says, "depart of from I never knew you" not "I knew you and I lost you." In the example of the ones he says it to, they are rattling off their works (lordship salvation). They added their works as a condition of salvation and thus grace was of no effect to them. It is trusting only the completed work of Christ that saves. We aren't co-authors of our salvation otherwise we would get some of the glory. Renee Roland has a great channel for hammering the true gospel into people's heads. It's called the good news for a reason, watch it and send it far and wide and people will start getting saved once they understand this is a free gift that has nothing to do with the impossible obedience people are preaching these days. (Not a license to sin btw)

It does not matter what your doctrine says, what matters is what God's Word says, and when there are scriptures that have eternal consequences if you do those things, your doctrine does not get to change God's Word and no that scripture is not osased. (osased) made null and void by the doctrine of osas. Either God's word says what it means and means what it says or it doesn't, when God's Word says if you do this, that, or the other thing you will not inherit the Kingdom of God, it means exactly what it says and osas is not going to get you out of it. Heb 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, Heb 6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, Heb 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. Heb 6:7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: Heb 6:8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned. Osasers do not get to interpret away or explain away the hard verses that stand against their osas, they get to read them and believe them exactly as they read. Anyone that says, those verses do not mean what you think they mean is a liar, and they are about to interpret or explain those verses in such a way as to render them null and void of what they plainly say. God's Word says it and that settles it. Luk 11:24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. Luk 11:25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. Luk 11:26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. It takes the power of God to evict the unclean spirit to start with, but after time has been given by God for that person to grow and obey, and they refuse to do so, God will leave, and when He does the unclean spirit finds his former home vacant and ready for reoccupation and this time he brings some friends.

@@TheBibleSays . Luke 13. is a call for salvation. We are talking about the issue of losing your salvation. I agree we need to repent, and the reason is to keep our relationship with God right. We can't lose our right standing with God or righteousness. Hebrew 4: 1 Was written to unsaved jews who wanted to earn their salvation by works. They were not saved and had made no decision and were in unbelief. The fear of God is a reverence and respect for God, not a fear of punishment. check the original greek.

I believe it is not somewhat accidental sin, like swearing when you stub your toe, or getting angry at someone ect. It's moreso willfully and defiantly sinning, like planning to hook up with as many women as you can, or planning to set the lord aside since you're depressed and rely on alcohol or xanax to help with your problems.

For anyone thinking Hebrews and Romans were contradictory, Hebrew 6:4-6 was talking about spiritual maturity. Paul said that if you’ve learned and seen everything and even tasted the Holy Spirit, THEN you fall away, it’s dang near impossible for you to repent because your heart is so hard at that point. God won’t just NOT accept people back. He’s talking about you making the choice to walk away and not looking back.

James said: 21Was not our father Abraham justified by what he DID [his actions] when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see that his FAITH was WORKING WITH his ACTIONS, and his faith was PERFECTED by what he did. (James 2:21-22) Abrahams actions increased his faith causing to grow to completion. Would Abraham have had faith if he had NOT sacrificed His son? I think not. The Bible also says: 8 By faith Abraham, WHEN CALLED to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, OBEYED and went, without knowing where he was going. Hearing the call to leave was not enough. Abraham actually had to obey by moving his household.

macolyis No, works are not simply “evidence” of our faith-James explains that they are ALSO a source of justification: (James 2:24) “24 You see that a man is 👉justified by works and not by faith alone.” There is a big difference between saying that works are “evidence” and that works “justify”. It is totally possible for someone who has faith to not have good works. That’s the part that you’re not realizing: (1 Timothy 5:8) “But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has 👉denied the faith👈 and is WORSE than an unbeliever.” You as a believer can “deny the faith” by your deeds. It’s not automatic that your faith will produce good works. You must participate in your own salvation. We are not sponges 🧽 soaking up God’s grace.

For those who think "thou shalt not kill" only applies to killing people, have a read. Exo 35:2 *_Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death._* those who violate the Sabbath are to be put to death that is the second part of the Law of The Sabbath, the so-called Sabbath keepers are offending in this one point of the law in that they do not do the whole of the Law of the Sabbath but only half of it. and to get out of the second part of the Law of the Sabbath the law keepers must run to the New Testament to get their reason why they do not have to do the second part of Keeping the Sabbath, so if they are going to get one reason for not keeping one point of the 10 commandments from the New Testament why not get the rest of the reasons for not being under the Law but under Grace from the New Testament as well.

A person who falls away never knew the Lord, as it is written, "Love never fails." If 'love' fails, it was never really love in the first place; if someone denies the Lord permanently, then they were never saved in the first place; if a person loves sin but professes Christ, they are a tare among the wheat, a wolf in sheep's clothing, a false convert. Jesus said that whoever believes in Him will have rivers of living water bubbling up within them. Do you know the Lord? Are you seated in the heavenlies with Christ? Does the Holy Spirit bear witness with your spirit that you are a child of God? Remember that salvation is a personal encounter with the Lord. Simply confessing or going to church does nothing unless you are filled with the Holy Spirit. Ask and you shall receive! If you are not certain about your salvation, you probably are not saved! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

Paul wrote, "Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10.13)." From Scripture, can we agree that those who are saved 1) bear much fruit and 2) endure to the end? Therefore, when a person calls upon the Name of the Lord, they will be born again. Conversely, if a person prays the 'Sinner's Prayer,' but is not filled with the Holy Spirit, they did not truly call upon the Name of the Lord. For example, you mentioned that if a person acts according to fleshly desires without repentance they shall be cut off. Yet, those who have been born again will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh, as they hunger and thirst after righteousness. You cannot be saved and not love and serve the Lord. Those who have been born again HAVE eternal life. They will live forever in Christ, they will hate sin, and they will endure to the end - otherwise they did not have eternal life in the first place. You cannot have temporary eternal life! Therefore, a person cannot 'lose' eternal life, as they were never born again, as they were never saved in the first place. What I am about to write is of eternal importance to you. Referring to the Holy Spirit, Jesus said, "Whoever believes in Me shall have rivers of living water bubbling up inside of them." Do you have that? Do you know the Holy Spirit? Does He bear witness that you are saved (Romans 8.16)? If not, then ask, trusting that God always keeps a promise. Whoever asks of Him shall receive the Holy Spirit. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Christ died on a Cross so that we may know Him. If you are living in fear that you mighty lose your salvation, my question is, how do you know you are saved in the first place? The problem is easily solved by asking for and receiving the Holy Spirit. Christ died on a Cross so that we may know Him. Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

And in that case you are eternally secure because He does the saving. He promises it is eternal life. Not maybe so life. Many who taste of the Holy Spirit but not swallow or gobble it completely are not saved. And can be enlightened but not surrendered and born again. Tasting and being enlighted are not salvation. Jesus said that all that come to Him in salvation He will not lose one. He even promises that those that are under the blood of Jesus are predestined to be like Christ someday. To mix one's filthy rags self works with the finished work of Grace is satans biggest tool to get people to trust in themselves and not in Jesus and His work on the cross. Please beware of false teachers that put the burden of salvation on what you do, denying the saving power of what Jesus did.

@@EricBurum the key is that you repented of your sins. God's Grace allows you to be forgiven when you show remorse and repent. But the OSAS crowd say that even if you should die in sin you will still go to Heaven because God don't see you as a sinner.

I believe that for a doctrine to stand that it must stand the test of the Whole Word of God and not just the proof texts used to support it. Luk 8:13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. names can be blotted out or removed from the Book of Life Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. it is obvious that if a name has been blotted out or removed then on that day it will not be found. this is but a fraction of the verses that stand against osas. but people will hunt for anything to deny these scriptures and change them so that they do not stand against their beloved osas. they would rather find ways around what the Scriptures plainly say so they can keep their man-made doctrine rather than to believe the Word of God. because to admit that your doctrine is wrong is to admit that you have been deceived by those you LOVE, and that prospect is too painful to radical to even consider, pride will not let millions admit they were deceived, they would rather maintain the status quo, not make waves, not ruffle any feathers and walk as an enemy of the Cross than to admit they have been deceived. I was a Baptist once but I left over osas. God did not allow me to become indoctrinated into that heresy. when you have to find ways to deny scripture to save your man-made doctrine from them, that should throw up a huge red flag, but it does not because people become blinded to the truth to keep their lies. so many people have the rose-colored glasses of their Pastor and denomination on so that when the truth is right in front of their eyes, those glasses filter out that truth so that it is not perceived. the very Word of God has to be wrong so that the doctrine can stand because we know the doctrine is true and cannot be undone therefore the scriptures standing against their doctrine are WRONG. they prefer to accuse God's Word of being wrong rather than their doctrine. the emotional bond of love for the Pastor and denomination they got saved in blinds them to the Truth of God's Word in favor of the doctrine they have learned from those that would never lie to them. one of their favorite tactics is to claim that you are not rightly dividing the Word of Truth because if you were then you would believe as they do so you must be wrongly dividing the Word of Truth because only believing in their doctrine is rightly dividing the Word of Truth.

You can not water down clear, succinct and truthful scripture. Gods grace is a free gift! No works are actually required! Although, once a person is saved the Spirit that abides in them will pursue good works. All of those I know that are saved through grace, by faith ALONE, in Christ ALONE, do not see it as a licence to sin, but in fact, often have good works. Better works even, but ultimately they have the freedom that Christ promised, an easy yoke and a light burden. The free gift of grace that the Lord gave us. We are confident in our salvation and know that should we not always attain the perfection laid out in the bible, we are still saved. It is such a relief, knowing that God loves us, for the sinners we are and that He saves us unconditionally, apart from faith as the sinners we are. God bless.

Ah, a fruit salad Gospel of grace mixed with works, our effort and endurance. Satan loves this, but this is not the Gospel of the grace of God. If you were to rightly divide Gods word like He tells you to do, you will notice that not everything is written directly to us. We are saved by grace through faith, sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. Although you think you’re being pious, you’re not and you’re including your effort to be saved at the end which is not the Gospel and one contrary to the one Paul preached (Our Apostle sent by Jesus Christ Himself).

Eternal security is most definitely taught in the Bible. One cannot be chosen before the foundation of the world and then un-chosen in time. Believers are "sealed unto the day of redemption." The other side of the coin is that a professing Christian is not going to live like the devil. The good news is that we don't have to separate all the tares from the wheat. God will do that, for "knows them that are His." The doctrine of eternal security must not be rejected in an attempt to combat the abuse of God's wondrous grace.

Formerly Rabbi Chris ... What many people fail to understand is that, although Yeshua (Jesus) will NEVER leave us or forsake us, WE CAN leave HIM and FORSAKE HIM and thereby lose our salvation. The Bible is clear about this and even foretells that there will be Christians who will "DEPART FROM THE FAITH" in the last days: "Now the Spirit expressly says that *in latter times some will depart from the faith,* giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons ..." (1 Tim. 4:1) In order to depart from the faith, one must first be IN the faith, a true believer in Yeshua. 2 Thess. 2 refers to this departure from the faith as "the falling away." Under the persecution and threat of death from the antichrist, many will renounce Yeshua during the tribulation to come. And when they DENY HIM by accepting the mark of the beast in order to save their own earthly lives, then HE, BY HIS OWN WORD, must then DENY THEM. "This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, We shall also live with Him. *IF we ENDURE, * We shall also reign with Him. *IF we DENY Him, * *HE also will DENY US."* (2 Tim. 2:11-12) Do you SEE that it is CONDITIONAL? IF we ENDURE ... or IF we DENY HIM. His people will have to MAKE A CHOICE to either REMAIN IN HIM or DENY HIM. And when speaking of the tribulation at the end of the age prior to His return, Yeshua Himself said, "He who ENDURES TO THE END shall be saved." (Matt. 24:13) "But WHOEVER denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven." (Matt. 10:33) "Once saved, always saved" is NOT sound doctrine, but is rather a dangerous deception from Satan and is meant to cause deceived Christians to cast away their own salvation ... because they erroneously THINK that they CANNOT POSSIBLY LOSE THEIR SALVATION, EVEN IF THEY CAST IT AWAY THEMSELVES BY DENYING YESHUA in order to save their physical lives! TAKE HEED TO YESHUA'S WARNING: *"For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it."* (Luke 9:24)

Salvation is ours when we accept Christ and believe. It is a done deal. It is a contract but we as humans can break that contract if we deny Christ! God doesn't go back on his promise to save us, but we can forfeit our own salvation on our end when we lose faith.

There is a very simple problem with the dogma of “once saved, always saved.” That problem is that it is just not biblical! The truth is, the dogma of “once saved, always saved” is part of the doctrines and commandments of men. Consider Matthew 15:1-20; Mark 7:1-23 → Galatians 1:6-20 and II John 1:7-11!

Essentially, it comes down to who is doing the saving? If we are trusting in anything we do to save us, we have no hope of even temporary salvation, much less eternal salvation. However, if God is saving us then we can truly say we are being saved and know that He who has begun a good work in us will complete it. Philippians 1:6 There's a marked difference between those who are trying to "be" a Christian and those in whom it is the Spirit of God doing the work.

Very wise use of the Word of God that challenges us to study and obey. The "Osteen Affect" keeps congregations happy with pleasant words, but usually avoids the words of Jesus and His disciples rightly divided that reveal we remain in His will by obedience and righteousness not by practicing sin. We all occasionally sin and repent and ask for forgiveness, however we cannot continually practice sin by lying, deception and careless living until death and think we are still saved. Ezekiel chapter 18 teaches us about what God thinks of sin and how a person who walks away from righteousness will be treated by God.

For example if your a Murderer and you repent and you are forgiven... then you continue to murder people have you truly repented? What does scripture say?... For you, salvation is by grace through faith but you must keep it through works. So when the Bible clearly states "For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ", the term gift isn't correct cuz for you salvation (thus eternal life) is a reward obtained by good works and not a gift obtained by grace.

Paul was not holding on hoping to make it to the end.. That would designate that one must do certain works with a certain determination and attitude to keep saved. Jesus said there is nothing good in man. It is only by the blood of Jesus. He PAID our penalty in full. Jesus offers His work of salvation to those who believe. HE is the one that does the saving and HE promises that those who believe un HIM are declared righteous when born again. It is a one time event when Jesus imputes and puts on our account HIS righteousness. In order for one to be lost after salvation, would mean that Jesus's righteousness would have to fail, which can NEVER happen. It is His righteousness, and not ours at all What a tragedy that man would think that his own imperfect works from his own sinful nature is part of God's wonderful salvation. Jesus

What about Romans 7:19 ? For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do-this I keep on doing. I struggle with Pornography, some times i can withstand and sometimes not. I want to do good and not pleasure myself but most of the times i struggle to withstand ! I tried my whole life to find a woman for me, yet i find none ! I even come to think that God doesnt want me to have a woman, yet i struggle to beleave even that ! How is it even possible not to do sin ? Is this sin engraved in my flesh ? Because i spiritually want to do all the things Jesus commanded us to do and i agree fully with the law spiritually, so how is it possible ? I feel like i contradict myself.. beeing a hypocrite by telling people not to do specific things and yet i end up doing them myself, i wholeheartedly hate this behavior. I hate this sinfull body of mine ! Please help me understand this ! Year for year i study the Texts, iam 34 right now and sometimes i think i understood the topic, but as soon i sin again, everything starts over, questioning my salvation, my behavior, end up crying not to know how to flee all these things....

It’s truly sad. Are there people who have never known God and think they do? Of course. I was one of them. But that’s not the case for everybody. There are people who have known God and have strayed away. I also did that earlier in my walk and I saw what it was like to start to get entangled again to what I was freed from. And that’s according to the Bible and what it says. To presume that if u went away u were never actually a Christian with real faith is not biblical at all. It’s just a human concept that people keep spurting out so that they can remain consistent with their wrong ideas and doctrines. People need to really experience and know the Lord not just know about him through knowledge in their head. We have to judge correctly through the Spirit not through human reasoning and outward appearances.

In that parable, you have the (older) son who has been with his father everyday, yet still doesn't know Him well enough to know that all his father's possessions belong to him. 'Once saved always saved' is true for the 'true' hearted believer that truly loves Christ Jesus (1Cor.16:22) 'in sincerity' (Eph.6:24), but it becomes a stumblingblock for those that do not 'draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having their hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and their bodies washed with pure water' of the Word (Heb.10:22), as apostle Paul points out also to his 'own son in the faith' (1Tim.1:2,5,19). 'Once saved always saved' can be oversimplified by novices and made into a 'damnable heresy' 'by reason of whom The Way of Truth shall be evil spoken of...' (2Pet.2:1-3). Like apostle Paul writes, 'yea, let God be true, but every man a liar... there is none righteous, no, not one...' when 'There is no fear of God before their eyes'. Thus, like Paul, let us all 'rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh' so as to 'walk after men' (Rom.3:4,10,18, Phil.3:3, 1Cor.3:3). Paul trumpets this saying, 'Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of The World, and not after Christ' (Col.2:8).

The believer is born of God. John 1:12-13: “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” 3. Christ will raise every believer up at the last day. John 6:44-47: “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the prophets, and they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father. Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” 4. The believer has already passed from death unto life. John 5:24: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” 5. The believer is known of God. John 10:14: “I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.” 9. The believer listens to the voice of the shepherd. John 10:27: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” 10. The believer is in Christ’s hand and cannot be plucked out. John 10:28: “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” 11. The believer is in the Father’s hand and cannot be plucked out. John 10:29: “My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.” 12. The shepherd is charged with the responsibility of keeping the sheep. Was this prayer answered? 19. The believer to be with Christ in glory. The believer shall never hunger. John 6:35: “And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.” 21. The believer will in no wise be cast out (Not under any circumstance). John 6:37: “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” 22. Christ will not lose a single believer. John 6:39: “And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.” 23. Christ will raise up the believer at the last day. John 6:38-40: “For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” 24. Whosoever eats the bread of life shall never die. Because the Holy Spirit abides in the believer forever. Michael, I think the verse you quoted actually demonstrates this very concept: "He that HEARETH my word, and BELIEVETH...hath everlasting life." If you are no longer hearing and believing in Jesus, can you still claim this promise? It looks conditional to me. If you do HEAR and BELIEVE, then absolutely, everlasting life is for you. But if you used to do those and then STOP doing so, you are no longer fulfilling the conditional part.

Pride is really embeded in human nature. That's why it is said we have to die. We stop seeking the moment we trust ourselves. To many here, you knew in your heart you are still in the dark, else you will not be afraid damnation. Just don't stop seeking until you see. God promised you will if you are His. "Carnal Christians" are believers. Demons believe...There's a difference. God's people, as the OT Hebrews, believed, but yet not all were/are elected to salvation. IF you believe God chooses whom he saves, and you have no part in your salvation, as in , it's all the work of the Messiah, and you say you can turn away as one He has chosen, then you hold more power than He, and I don't buy that at all! I believe the first groupe you described.

The broken down man or woman that believes the gospel and says "forgive me Lord, a sinner". Then imagine the upstanding person that says "I'm so glad I'm not like these others. Anyone can say they believe and have faith, aka most Sunday only Christians who worship their own Jesus. If you believe a tornado will shred your house tomorrow, you will naturally prepare for that event. If someone really believes and has faith, they will repent and overcome wickedness, continue to grow and value being set apart to have a living relationship. So many people love clinging to OSAS because they can continue to live wicked lives, without repentance or relationship, and claim that we as humans will always be sinners and theres nothing we can do so might as well induldge in sin.

Great word spoken here with the book. Clear to see. I was once heavy into grace as an excuse to sin. I was miserable. No more.....I have chosen Christ as my savior. Not a doctrine. You know......being in Christ brings much joy. I do not want to mock, fall, or walk away.

Hi. It is absolutely true, 'once saved, always saved.' Remember that salvation is to know Christ, "This is eternal life, that you know God and Jesus Christ Whom He has sent." A person who falls away never knew the Lord, as it is written, "Love never fails." If 'love' fails, it was never really love in the first place; if someone denies the Lord permanently, then they were never saved in the first place; if a person loves sin but professes Christ, they are a tare among the wheat, a wolf in sheep's clothing, a false convert. Jesus said that whoever believes in Him will have rivers of living water bubbling up within them. Do you know the Lord? Are you seated in the heavenlies with Christ? Does the Holy Spirit bear witness with your spirit that you are a child of God? Remember that salvation is a personal encounter with the Lord. Simply confessing or going to church does nothing unless you are filled with the Holy Spirit. Ask and you shall receive! If you are not certain about your salvation, you probably are not saved! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

If you used assurance as an excuse to sin you didn't understand the doctrine correctly...what did Paul teach in romans 1-5 that caused him to anticipate an objection in romans 6:1 what then shall we say shall we continue to sin that grace may abound, certainly not...

Understanding that He finished the work and justified us on the Cross will cause us to love and serve him more in humble obedience because we have such a great savior that was willing to die for us.

@@Adam-ue2ig Hi Adam. In all respect, you have it backwards. That is, once saved, always saved is totally true. That said, only the Holy Spirit knows who is saved. To gain salvation, a person must be filled with the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, "Whoever believes in Me will have rivers of living water bubbling inside them to eternal life." Conversely, if a person does not have an encounter with God, if they are not filled with the Holy Spirit, if they do not have those rivers of living water, neither are they saved. Moreover, Jesus said, "Whoever loves Me will keep My Commandments." Many Christians misunderstand the Lord. That is, it is not a guilt trip as in, "If you love me - prove it!" Instead, it is a 'cause and effect.' Just like the sun lights the morning sky, so those who know the Lord breathe every breath to the glory of God. In fact, those who have been born again have total freedom. As it is written, "All things are lawful..." for those who believe. That is, I am totally free to do whatever I want, whenever I want. If you disagree, I will be very concerned for you. That is because those who are saved have total freedom, but they live only to do the will of the Father. Yet, do you think in terms of, "If I had total freedom, I would be in sin; I would get lazy in my faith"? Not so for those in Christ. Total freedom means freedom to seek the Lord with all their heart, freedom to give all to Christ. If you do not have that kind of faith, it is time to get right with God. Thank the Lord for filling you with the Holy Spirit; ask in total faith in the promises of God. Unless you are born again, you cannot enter heaven. That said, your comment smacks of someone who has not yet had a personal encounter with God; otherwise you would understand what freedom in Christ is. If you have the Holy Spirit living in you, you understand what total freedom is all about. Ask and you shall receive! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

Being saved is like admission into the university. If you don't submit yourself to the programs laid out by the school then you can't end up as a graduate student. So also every newly saved believer must commit himself to the programs and teachings of salvation to mature into a worthy candidate of the righteous kingdom to come.

The speaker in this video does not understand the doctrine of once saved is always saved because he does not believe in the pretribulational rapture of the church off of this earth & into heaven.. or.. that a Christian can commit a sin unto his own physical death..I believe in the doctrine of OSAS..but I also believe that once a lost person is saved..he will not always be saved (in a physical body while still living on this earth) ..because he can be raptured off of the earth & because he does not believe that a carnal & backsliden Christian can commit a sin which will cause Christ to shorten his life upon this earth.. by putting him into heaven prematurely..I like Jews for Jesus & Chosen People ministries instead..both of are which are better..being that they are more biblical.

@@charlesmargolin2226 Your doctrine is found no where in the bible. Salvation in the New Testament is always in the future or future perfect tense, as Jesus says in Matthew 24:13. You can't lose what you don't already have.

@@PETERJOHN101 agreed. Paul said he didn't believe he already had it. Paul warned that he should keep his body under control so that he would not forfeit or be disqualified for salvation. We are in the process of being saved. No one is saved or safe. OSAS is a Lie. It's only true from the perspective of Heaven.. that all that WOULD BE saved... finally ARE. But from an earthly perspective, we cannot know that. Jesus also warns: "those that endure to the end, will be saved." some won't endure. many will fall away. Polls and behavior indicate perhaps 90% of self proclaimed Christians, are false.. and will turn away. Also, there is no rapture, until most of us are martyred. Matthew 24

I agree with you completely. But there is a bit of a problem with the verses you showed. One says: "And they also, it they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again." The other earlier verse: "For it is impossible for those once enlightened...to renew them again to repentance..." Any ideas on how to make those two verses work in harmony?

Yes, at the end of the day we cannot see a persons heart but Jesus did give us a way to see a true believer. Matthew 7:15-20 - Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. NOT just because we *have* faith. *Through* faith that God exists and rewards, we could, and might, choose to "come to God" on His terms: ⚫ "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." (Hebrews 11:6) It's the choice - to "come to God" on His terms - that matters. For THAT we are promised His mercy: ⚫ "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent" (Acts 17:30) ⚫ "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy." Brother you have to use CONTEXT to interpret the bible. Otherwise we end up interpreting to whatever we think a verse or parable means. Also you cant do that with a new translation because they're not consistent. If you can lose your salvation then... 1. Why are there no clear verses about losing your salvation, only parables which can be interpreted that way? 2. Why are there only clear verses about salvation not being by works, and on faith alone? 3. So we're not good enough to earn our salvation but we're good enough to retain it? 4. If obedience to the law is considered works, Ro 2:6-10 & 15, then why is obediency necessary to be saved? 5. If repentence is considered work, then why is repentence necessary to be saved? 6. How exactly do we get saved? What must we do? How many good deeds, prayers, confession, church attendance, repentance is necessary? 7. Why did Jesus say I NEVER knew you (as in they were never saved) in Mt 7:21 to the ppl who relied on their WORKS for salvation saved? 8. Why did Paul say Abraham was justified by his faith unto God, not by his works in Ro 4:3? 9. If Paul said Abraham was justified by works, but NOT BEFORE God, then who was he justified unto by his works? (unto men Lk 16:15) 10. Why is there not one single verse that mentions getting saved by works? 11. Did the guy on the cross next to Jesus not get saved even though Jesus told him he would be? He did zero works 12. Wouldn't works salvation mean all Christians are going to hell? We all covet via our phones and many are gluttons/overweight. 13. Fire is used as a metaphor for purifying, discipline, and hell, so how do we know some parallels are speaking about hell? 26. Why is there no verse stating that getting saved is hard or difficult? It mentions trials, but not overcoming them as a requirement for salvation. 27. In John 15:16, Mt 28:19-20, Mk 3:14, and many others, Jesus "ordains" us to "go and bring forth fruit." In Mark 3:14 Jesus ordains the apostles to go "forth to preach." Hence, do we lose our salvation if we dont get others saved? 28. What did Paul mean in Ro 7:10 "And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death?" 29. What did Jesus mean when he said we would know that we are saved? If we can lose it, then you never know when you're saved 30. If obedience to the law is a type of works 31. Why did John say, nothing can separate us from Him, including "no man?" 32. How can we follow his commandments if we don't abound in him? 33. How is 2 Co 9:8 "every man according as he purposeth IN HIS HEART, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity" if works are needed to be saved? 34. Which verses state that we must change our habits, 35. Scripture says our faith is COUNTED unto righteousness, meaning we were given something which we could never qualify for, so how can we say we must do something to acquire salvation? 36. If we can get repeatedly saved, what did Paul mean in He 10:14 when he said he "hath perfected us ONCE?" 37. If we can get repeatedly saved, what did Paul mean in He 10:14 when he said he "hath perfected us FOREVER?" 38. John 6:37, them who the Father gives me I will not cast out. If we sin willfully or not but still want to live in Him, isn't he casting us out?

I completely agree that assurance does not give license to act anyway you wish. That is a gross misunderstanding of the doctrine. However, in order to come to the conclusion that you can lose true salvation , is also a misunderstanding. All sin was paid for at the cross, otherwise, Jesus blood was not enough. God's election is irrelevant and we are responsible for our own Salvation by works. If you can lose your salvation in this way, then David a man after God's own heart was saved, then unsaved and based on your interpretation of Hebrews 6, could not be saved again... No, when truly saved, works follow but they do not save... Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5, Romans 8 etc. You would have to throw out Psalm 121 for example if you thought that you were responsible or even able to somehow preserve yourself, or Jude for that matter. The key is "true salvation". To be regenerated by the Holy Spirit is to be sealed in Jesus. John 10 makes this so plain. My sheep hear my voice and they follow me. And I give them eternal life and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of my hand. My Father who has given them to me is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of my Fathers hand.i and my Father are one" I looked up "never" in the dictionary. It means never.

Someone doesn't know how to read and understand the Bible... 2 Timothy 2:15 says Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. For instance, Matthew 24 is for the Jews during the Tribulation. The Church will not be here. Once we are SEALED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT, WE ARE ETERNALLY SECURE.

I'm going to respond before watching, like I do sometimes to see if our beliefs line up: What I see in Scripture is that salvation is the reward for a "lifetime" of dedication and that it's completely up to Christ whether or not your name is written in or blotted out of the "Book of Life". I've seen "Christians" completely neglect the concept of producing fruit in exchange for a hedonistic lifestyle based on their belief that they are "saved" due to a one time confession. I've seen other "Christians" work themselves into a joyless existence based on their legalistic deeds and guilty conscience. But what does Christ say about it? He judges a man's heart and he's looking for faith. That faith is this: Does man trust that God has nailed our sins to the cross? Does man truly believe that Christ became sin for us? Does man spread that message with grace and truth? Does man understand that the kingdom of heaven is composed of servants who are well rewarded for their loyalty to God? If a man has these qualities, he will naturally produce fruit and it will be clear to Christ who is worthy of such a distinct honor. That being said, since we have a high priest who is familiar with our plight, I predict that Christ will be much more merciful and compassionate than most "Christians" WANT him to be. I truly believe many Christians want to "go to heaven" (which is another thing altogether) at everyone else's expense rather than Christ's. .....imma watch the video now.

@@BokaLokaToka I felt the same way my whole life, only recently my eyes were opened. If legalistic is the only way to Heaven you just denied Jesus Christ and you're trampling what He did on the Cross underfoot. You're basically saying He got the job done about 70% and your righteousness will take care of the other 30% He couldn't manage. Was Adam above Jesus? Sin entered the world through Eve and Adam, but you don't think God coming in the flesh and dying on a cross can erase it for those who believe on Him? Our righteousness is filthy rags. If you truly try to live out the laws, like the Pharisees, then you will be judged by the law and you better be perfect like Jesus was. Which you won't be as long as you are wrapped in flesh. The law is like a mirror, if you truly try to live it and you're not self-righteous then you will turn yourself inside out and upside down trying to follow all the rules. The point of the law is to get to a desperation and realize you'll never make it without depending on what Jesus did on the cross and putting your salvation into Him, by faith we receive salvation. Also, repenting won't work either. We sin without even knowing it. Anything not done in faith is a sin! Nowhere in the Bible does it say "repent of your sins." It says to repent, but God repented 38 times in the Bible, did He sin? No, stay away from NIV and EST Bible. They have put in interpretations instead of translations. Repent in Strongs Greek Dictionary is metaneo from g3326 and g3539 which means to think differently, or to reconsider. You don't repent of your sins and a sinners prayer is nowhere in the Bible. You have to Change your mind and stop believing in your works to get you there and believe on the death, burial, and ressurection of Jesus for your salvation. 1 Corinthians 1-4 is the true gospel. Good works come when you receive the Spirit of God and you will do them out of love for what He has done for you. It truly is good news! His yoke is easy and His burden is light. If we have to depend on our works then we are all doomed to hell. We can't make it. What Jesus did is sufficient. Our sins will be covered past, present and future. And before you say it, it is not a license to sin. Humans don't need one, they will sin regardless. Then you can actually stop focusing on your falling short and share the good news. God will work in you and start to change you. You will then do better at keeping commandments then you ever did on your own, the difference is you're secure in your salvation instead of always wondering if you're okay. And you leave the salvation up to what he did for you. Abraham's faith was counted for righteousness. We are only righteous once we change our mind and believe only on Jesus to get us there, then God sees the blood of the lamb when He looks at us, not our falling short in works or the law. Take Matt 7:21 the people (what I assume to be pastors) were telling God of all the WORKS they did. They had cast out demons, etc. He said "Depart from me ye WORKERS of iniquity, for I never knew you." He didn't say I used to know you and you forgot to repent of something. They were obviously religious. The people didn't say "Jesus we put our faith in you and I believed on you." They listed their WORKS instead. Why did He never know them? Because they trusted in their WORKS instead of God's grace. They were then judged on the law. I had an epiphany. I've prayed for truth for 7 months and God led me to it. I believed in rules too, just like the Pharisees. Jesus told them the Harlots would make it into heaven before they would. Allow the law to show you you need jesus, don't depend on your works, you'll never make it that way. We are not Jesus. God bless brother and there is a lady that explains this way better than I can. Just hear her out then you can go back to your legalistic views. Type in Renee Roland and only use KJV. Your eyes may be opened like mine were and then when it clicks, and you read your Bible, it will all make much more sense than it ever has and you will wonder how you never saw it before. May God lead you to truth and bless you. The biggest sin is believing on your own works instead of believing on what Christ did on the cross. I totally disagree with this this is the False Doctrine on Conditional Security it's completely non biblical concerning the Age of grace or Church Age . This heretical teaching goes back to Dutch reformer named Jacobus Arminius 1560-1609 AKA Arminianism which is the old borred false teachings going back to Pelagius who even denied that people needed the Grace of God to save them but taught that by our own free will we can be living by the examples of the life Jesus lived here on earth giving us simple ways to merit God s goodness for our salvation love one another love God with all your heart,mind etc. And to pick up our crosses and follow the examples of Jesus and our free will is all we need to do good works to merit or to get in God s " good graces" thus be saved up to that point of conversion ALL THE WAY TILL WE DIE then can we ACTUALLY RECEIVE LIFE ETERNAL. but Arminius was at least wise enough to point out in his 5 Remistraital Points where in point 5 The fear of Christians possibly falling from grace he added in that THAT IF we are to teach and warm believers of back sliding or giving up in faith would RESULT IN THEIR LOSING THEIR SALVATION [has to be pointed out in Scriptures and he was of yet to really have TRUE SOLID Bible verses especially of the New Testament to back Conditional security. The argument debate of Eternal Security vs Conditional security can actually be blamed originally on galatianism Trying to live by the Grace of God and mixing The Law together to complete a person's salvation!!!! LEGALISM was the poison the SELF RIGHTEOUS Jewish leaders that was starting to corrupt some of the Xhurch of Galatia

The things you've said and the scriptures you've quoted, I've known them since my time as an atheist. The fact that many professing "christians" delude themselves with the false security of OSAS just blows my mind. Small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Once saved, always saved! I was 6 when I was saved, 8 when I was baptized. Addiction took hold of my life in my 20s and I denounced my faith. For 10 years I hated Christians and I hated the church. I did not believe in God and saw Christianity as a way to control the masses. I had periods of hating God, not believing in God at all to just believing in some kind of higher power but thinking the Bible was a total sham. Bottom line though was that I wanted to do what I wanted to do and not experience guilt or shame over it. Didn't work lol. God brought me back right before I got sober and now AA teaches me how to have a healthy relationship with God. I ran from God for 10 years but I never lost my salvation even though I didn't believe in it at the time. *God created time and therefore is not bound by it! When I gave my life to him at 6 years old, He forgave me of every sin- past, present and Future including the sin of denying Him before others. He knew when I was 6 years old that I was going to denounce him for 10 years. I know I meant it in my childhood when I became a Christian. I know my name was sealed in the book of Life when I was six years old. I prayed the refiners prayer when I was 18 right before I started using. That's a prayer where we ask God to draw out our impurities. I had no idea what I was in for when I prayed that prayer. There was a lot of junk in my soul that I was not aware of that needed to be brought to the surface. My faith is stronger today because I walked away from God for 10 years. God has used my mess and turned it into a message. I loved God and served God with all my heart in my childhood, teen and early adult years. I decided later that I was not a Christian anymore but because no one could pluck me from his hand, including me, God never let me go. I was His. It seems like people almost forget that God exists outside of time. We see our sins and salvation in a timeline whereas God already knows our entire story. He knew before he made me that I was going to rebel and blaspheme his name. Rebellion is part of my walk with God, and I was already forgiven for it 2,000 years ago on the cross. Putting things into a timeline, I was forgiven for that sin at 6 years old.

@risingStar You need to read Hebrews in context. It's talking about people who taste of the Spirit but never get saved. It's talking about the Jews being given the gospel and being warned about the dangers of ignoring it and going back to Judaism.
