I bought this game the last year and I play it for long periods of time, this is my vice right now and it just makes me want to buy all the DLCs. By the way I get to play it decently on a GTX1650Ti, i7 10k, 30 to 60 fps on medium high graphics, depending on on how much stuff is on screen but so far getting pretty stable temps, 69 to 71°.

@@lylahsworld3930 I'll update my comment while I respond to yours: I realized that when running a zoo full of scenery, foliage, decoration, etc (which inevitably will happen) My PC just can't handle the constant 60 fps, although it is not that uncomfortable, just to keep safe the framerate/temperature I turned the graphics to medium low. So I believe that those GPUs you mention can play it decently on medium low/low settings.

​@@mortusmt I have a laptop with 1650 and 16gb ram As you have a slightly better gpu than mine i have a better cpu which is 5600h considering you have a 10750h So in the end i guess the fps will be almost the same as this game is cpu intensive So what are your recommended settings for this game. I heard shadows and water reflection are the most taxing

Your review helped me get the game, and now I have about 70+ hours in it, with gold in every one of the base campaign levels (on Easy)! xD So thank you! Absolutely love this game, and if there was anything I was stuck on that the tutorial didn't cover, I was able to google very quickly so frustration never lasts too long! I've picked up some of the DLC's and haven't gone through their campaign modes yet, but I'm excited to!

I've bought it since it was just out and here are extra thoughts of mine which weren't in game :) (300+ hours) - buy it when it's on sale!! It's an awesome and beautiful game but it's pretty much the same, not worth $40 -dlc isn't that needed there are tons of animals for free + dlc is harder to get/sell animals - there are a lot of different coat variants on a lot of animals (example with timber wolf you've got dark grey wolves, light grey wolves, and even melanistic coated wolves) it's a very nice touch and makes it a bit more realistic -it might be hard in the beginning as you need to do a lot and think of a lot but it'll be worth it -it's an online game which if you want a specific animal you've got to wait till someone sells it - the max 200 animals in your storage may sound a lot but trust me if you have a lot of zoos its not enough -inbreeding, nice touch but a lot of times when I buy 2 animals I forget to look who's selling them so I spended a lot on accident by buying sibings which I'm not going to breed together (inbreeding) -(this might be me but who knows) it's a game you'll play for hours, get bored of it, time later you'll play it again -another realistic thing, I wouldn't recommaed doing this in your actual zoo, but in sandbox theres prey and hunter things. Putting a gazelle in a lion exclosure you'll see the gazelle running a lot and might even see a lion hunting/killing it

thanks for the review mate... that's exactly what I was looking for a "before you buy it" type of review...it's informative and it definitely helps to make an informed decision if one should buy it - or not - in general terms it's on sale now, as of Dec 15, 2022, on the Epic winter holidays sale, so I was considering it... now, I wouldn't really call it the best zoo builder game, simply because there is the Jurrasic World Evolution, I think by the same developers, that's kind of the same, a zoo and city builder at the core, just geared and themed for prehistoric dinosaurs and with fun inspiration from the Jurrasic park movies as well... why I wouldn't call it yet the best zoo game out there, is because I didn't hear you mentioning anything in the game mechanics about animals fighting with each other... as compared to Jurrasic World Evolution that's a major and significant part of the gameplay, carnivores will fight among each other for dominance, while also trying to kill and eat herbivores, if housed in the same enclosures... and not coincidentally, some herbivores are quite adept at defending themselves, and often killing the carnivores that were initially the aggressor... now, that's a fascinating aspect of the gameplay and you said nothing about a such experience in Planet Zoo... is it there?? I assume it's not, since you didn't mention it... hence it could be a fun good game, but not really the best out there... as a side note, even on sale, I find it kind of expensive for the value of fun and entertainment could offer... but I don't have it yet, so maybe I don't fully realize its value very good review tho'...

Just opening this game made my computer go crazy insane and overheat..which is such a bummer. I’ve ran other games perfectly fine, been running Elden Ring totally okay recently. But this one, just literally being on the title screen, my computer is going crazy with the fan and overheating..I have no idea why..

Since almost every game has a discount until the 13th of july I want to get plante zoo or Jurassic world evolution 2. If I get planet zoo I would build a Yellowstone type of thing. If I get Jurassic world evolution 2 I wouldn’t make an enclosure for every single species, I would make it open and the guests would see the dinos if they get close enough to the fence. (Can someone please recommend which one I should get?)

maybe on low it runs ok. Dont have too high expectations. But you have 16 gb ram, I think thats good. So I would say get it, but dont try to play with very high graphics, because it will cook your cpu and gpu. One month ago I had a similar build like you, but my processor was the r7 3700X; Now I upgraded cpu and gpu. Honestly I think you are fine! If you really are not sure, and have mixed feelings, save for upgrading your pc
