i love how pts can see a patient two times a week for couple months, see the progress of hard work and motivation, and have the patient discharged not as a patient but in a more intimate friendly relationship. thats the difference for me. doctors, dentists, pa, etc. they help people yes, but pts, ots, and a select other healthcare jobs actually guide and help grow peoples body mentally emotionally, and physically. its awesome

I completely agree with you! This was the biggest tipping point for me to choose physical therapy over any other career

Love your videos man! I just got accepted into PA school for this upcoming year. Both PA and PT are excellent careers and getting accepted into either fields is an amazing choice.

I love being a physical therapist. I went through the same process of deciding. I was trying to decide between becoming a medical doctor or a physical therapist 30 years ago! So thankful I decided on PT! I look forward to going to work each day😊! PT is not for everyone though.

Hello sir! First year PA student here. With regards to tattoos, I've actually found hospitals to be more accepting of tattoos. When I did my PCE in an outpatient setting, I had to take off my earrings (I'm male) and I had to cover my tattoos. When I worked in the hospital, so many providers, nurses, and other staff had tattoos. I even remember seeing a physician that was fully sleeved up. I just don't want those who watch this to get misinformed that tattoos aren't accepted in the hospital setting. From my experience, they are more accepted in hospitals vs outpatient settings. Great video!

Thank you for your input! This is actually very helpful to know what it is like in the hospital settings these days. I feel like healthcare culture is rapidly changing and you for sure see a lot more tattoos and piercings on both male and female providers. I appreciate you sharing! Good luck finishing PA school!

Really good comparison! It depends on what’s the individual career focus as you stated. For me it’s that fulfillment of helping someone with conservative care accomplish their goals. Thanks for that bro 😊

I'm on the fence. I just started working as a PT Aide, but can also work as a Medical Assistant. Would love to do PT, but I'm lacking one pre-requiste and thats physics. I'm dreading taking it. All the PT's at work went to USC and 2 PT Aides will start there in the fall. I looked at tuition and its $200,000 for the 3 yrs. That is crazy.

I think PTA can be a good choice after retirement. But it is also a somewhat physical job. So if you are not physically healthy, it will be hard to do a lot of things. Like you’re not just sitting around.

They’re doctors of physical therapy and PTA’s are not. Just like PA’s are not doctors. But if anyone actually bashes someone for using/having that title or not, that’s just pathetic
