Insomnia has me up. And your image and a conversation where some folks were coming at you negatively and I don’t like! My prayers are that you be covered and uplifted 🙏🏽

I have been a working journalist since 1986, beginning with the San Jose Post-Record and along the way working for some black newspapers, the Los Angeles Times, a few weeklies, earning awards for writing and photography -- and working now for a wire service reporting on crime in Southern California. I have seen and have been told several times how much my news stories, news features have made a positive impact in my community and in society, as a whole. Journalism has and still matters. You lead by example.

This issue of punditry versus traditional journalism is incredibly important, especially since media literacy amongst the average American is not were it should be. I also know very educated people, who sometimes don’t know what to believe, and they read reliable sources like the New York Times. I would ask, Amanda, that you delve into this topic, specifically, even further because I believe it has not been talked about enough and this issue continues play a major role in why even responsible consumers of the news struggle to parse what is being relayed to them by these news outlets.

There is a lot of valuable, solidly investigated reporting in the New York Times. There is also passing along of disinformation. This resulted in an anti-reality bias in the propaganda campaign leading up to the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

Just wanted to reach out in support somehow, you’re getting roasted for the most sensible take out there. I’m fully of the same mind, and hope you know they stay consistently wrong in their outrage, I’m always on the side of waiting for the facts - crazy that this is the topic of your most current clip on yt and you’re currently going through some tangential bs.. wild. Anyway. It’s a new week tomorrow. Name your blessings and be blessed🫶🏻💋

Amanda Seales is an opportunistic individual who would take a tragedy and exploit it for her narcissistic motives. On a side note: Journalists due make mistakes BUT they should also have the integrity to admit and take responsibility for their mistakes. Unfortunately some Journalists and Podcasters definition of justice, sounds like reverse discrimination and hypocritical to me. "Do as I say and not as aI do".
