Will give it a try. Though I don' t like the timing element. I think these games are made for relaxing and thinking, not for hurrying.

I agree to an extent, as I think there wouldn't be as much challenge if you had all the time in the world to solve the puzzles, but I can still see what you mean.

one of the most original concepts in a video game ever, love this game! you should check the sequel called "One step beyond" but it is only for Amiga & DOS

I’ve played this game, and I must say that I really like it. It’s so unique, it has got nice music and visuals, and the flaws you mentioned (time limit, domino distinguishing and controls) don’t bother me. I didn’t find the controls at all confusing. To push a domino, push up then either the right or left circular button. No fore- or background, actually. To me, I got used to differentiating between the dominos fairly quickly, and you can still play the stages after the time limit is up, but you can’t complete them. So once you figure out the solution, just reset the stage to complete it in the time limit. All in all, this game is pretty good, in my opinion.

I remember seeing screenshots of this in a gaming magazine, it's somehow less visually impressive in motion. It's a really neat puzzle idea, though. And I had Krusty's Super Fun House on the Mega Drive 😄 I loved it, but it was way too hard to complete.

You should check out Little Magic for SFC. Another single screen puzzle game. I was kind of bored with it at first, but then the difficulty rose to the perfect level for me and I couldn't put it down. There's a suprising amount of strategy, timing and subtlety in simple game.

Great game, mad difficult at times. The only unenjoyable element is the live puzzles where you have to hurry to set up a puzzle, the controls begin to get sticky.

@typicalhuman5833
@typicalhuman5833 6 жыл бұрын
Chris Finch it's weird because LTTP is still very cheap in Mexico, and Mega Man X it's hard to come by, but purely for the game, I agree Zelda has better replay value

Depressed Kitten I agree, Zelda is longer also so I got more invested in the environment and music, Mega Man is too short and neither have good story. Gameplay is solid on both though.

The color scheme of the blocks most likely resulted from this game being developed for the Atari ST. The ST can only have 16 colours on screen at the same time, and if you don't use too many different colours, and instead use different shades of few colours, the game becomes much nicer to look at.
@badATchaos
@badATchaos 6 жыл бұрын
They probably went with stripes and not just solid colors for the benefit of colorblind individuals. You see that a lot in falling block puzzle games where they use different shapes or patterns instead of just colors.
