After watching this video I have been playing this on and off for about a week now and I must say i'm having a bit of fun... I am quite terrible at it but it's a good game if you have a few free minutes... Thanks for the video

I disagree with SNesdrunk on this one! I think it is a true hidden gem! I found randomly on my everdrive on day on my awesome 36 inch CRT. And on the CRT i found the graphics to be really incredible, looking alot beter than on our modern displays I can tell form the review. Things lok a littlre more textured and awesome with them real scanlines on there. I urge anyhone readin this to give realm a spin, u might like more than my man Snesdrunk did!

What is a run n gun anyway? Aren't they just platformers with the ability to shoot projectiles from weapons?

A Run N Gun is basically a sub-genre of shmups, or shoot em ups. I'd say the Contra and Metal Slug series are the most well known. Most of these games have less emphasis on actual platforming and more on shooting as much as possible. You basically go straight, and shoot. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoot_%27em_up

Nice review, I always get this game confused with Time Slip (which is also a shooter). (This game was actually developed by Flair Software Ltd., developers of Whizz and Oscar, both which got SNES ports (they developed Super Morph as well), Titus published it.)

Woohoo, the first video dedicated to a Titus game! I promise they're not all average, some of the games are actually pretty cool! Realm does have the distinction of being a pretty late release with some cool scaling effects, but it is hard as beans.

I actually think the levels are quite interesting. It’s a great looking game that’s challenging and has an above average soundtrack. It certainly doesn’t do anything out of the norm for the genre, but it’s a solid game nonetheless. It seems to be somewhat rare, but the cart is worth the current asking price in my opinion.

I conquered this game and it’s pretty tough and unforgiving in parts. But I really enjoyed it and let’s face it, whenever you get a chance to run and gun using a character with a fabulous blonde mullet, you take it and you go save the world with him. And that’s why you need to play this too.

How come so many of those 90s euro home computer plattform games have this typical "flat" design to them? You can always see immediately if a 90s platformer is made by a european studio just by looking at it.

Well, for PC gamers Titus first and formost known for action/racing "Fire & Forget 1-2", platformers "Prehistorik 1-2", "Titus the Fox" and "The Blues Brothers (1991)". And also "Prehistorik Man" for SNES. These are goods games, but the rest of the world remembered Titus for "Superman 64" - shame((

This game was so hard. Multiple bosses right after another. The enemies just keep re spawning . You basically need the homing gun to advance past the first boss and then the second boss is right after.

looks fine to me. not the best graphics, ok. but, it has good variety of weapons, no slippery moving/jumping, and I kinda like those level design and visual efects. I wanna try to beat this game someday. 🙂

I got to be honest. This game looks awesome! Graphically appealing for the time. More so than many other games that I've seen and played and loved and hated on the SNES. I'm going to give this game a chance. It's here in the list of games on my emulator so why not! Also? I love the rewind feature. I'm almost 47 years old. I will rewind every mistake just to get through the fucking game. Lol. Tired of fucking around.
