Religion is something that teaches its followers moral there is no religion in the world which promotes hate abuse war etc, For most of the people religion gives meaning to their life, they try to follow the code that their religion teaches. No religion will ever allow such things that will hurt others...!

Flawed point. Do you see atheists running around and being immoral and just killing themselves because there is no meaning to life? A very small part may be but mostly no. The religion=morals arguement is so stupid, is religion the only thing holding you back from killing your family and everyone around you? I dont get it. Morals mostly come from the fact that HUMAN is a social species and we work together to survive, and to work together we need to have compassion for each other. Its so simple, yet people very often give credit for that morality to religion

Genocide and mass murders are there in name of religion. Further the root cause is the blind faith in it. Faith and religion is an option to every being. It's our responsibility to understand what it speaks. Just listening to others interpretation of holy books and scriptures is not a true way. And religion neither creates a boundary, nor forces you to stick to it. It is us who bends faith to needs and wants of few, just as making one's caste and religion to be supreme and undermining the others.

Well, you consider the wrong to be on the people and not the religion. So if I tell you that Jehovah's Witnesses shun those who leave the religion, It threatens members that continue to associate with similar consequences. This is a doctrine, a teaching of the church, people didn't choose this, the church teaches this and threatens members who refuse to obey. Many of those shunned include children, who are often kicked out once they reach 18. You might think this is unjust, and that's why I think some of the religions today cause reasonable people to do stupid and damaging things.

In my opinion. Religion is between you and your God. It's personal so you have no right to inscribe your faiths to someone else's life. There have been many things on religion everyone who tries to misuse power is evil but according to me Religion is the utmost thing that should never be brought to public as a way of confrontation. As a muslim, I can't just stand here. Religion, is not bad and has not harmed humanity. As much as I like to say that religion does have fights between unity, in many ways religion has helped the world to tell the past. Adam was a Muslim, and he is still believed from non religious people that he was the first human, and if it wasn't for religion, there would be no way for scientists to know who the first human was. Scientists say that monkey evolved to human, some religions deny that, but in the end of the day, it comes to show that all of us believe in different things, but ultimately, we are all humans and that can never change.

There is plenty of data available that says the opposite. Why do 90% of religious adults practice the same religion they were taught as children? If you are born into a religious family and live in a culture and society that share that same religion, the chances of you doing the same are ASTRONOMICAL!!! Children are impressionable and dependent on their family and society. Once they reach adulthood they can’t wipe the slate clean and start over. Their worldview is already deeply engrained into their identity. And since we can’t pick and choose where, when, and to whom we are born…the “choice” is almost nonexistent.
