One question I see all the time is "is reselling still worth it?" It's definitely changed over the years and a lot of resellers have quit. In this video I'll give you my opinion on if it's still worth it to resell on marketplaces like eBay and Poshmark and who I think it will work best for.

I love it and may never stop! I’ve been reselling for less than a year but have wanted to do it for several years. I especially enjoy learning about brands I would never have known about and also finding those hidden gems!

Couldn't agree more with there being more competition. The platforms have made it easy for anyone to sell online. Even those who have no interest in "reselling" can sell their stuff. Hope all is well. :)

I started reselling in July of this year. It's a side hustle for me because I work a full time job. I love all aspects of it, especially connecting people with stuff they really need or want. Great video, thank you ❤

Definitely worth it! I work full time and reselling is my side hustle. I have had other side hustles and reselling has been the most profitable. And I absolutely love it! I will do it forever lol

Hi Aileen, hope you had a wonderful Christmas. AWESOME VIDEO! Also with reselling, it's a revolving door, changes on the dime. In order to survive in this business one has to act as a change agent for their business. If one is afraid of change, or don't like change, this business may not work out well for them. As for what you said about driving traffic to your website, that also is true. That was the hardest part for me. REMEMBER, just like a brand new brick & mortar business, it will take a little while possibly up to a year to become known, trusted and to make a good profit. As for acting as a change agent, as I mentioned earlier, I am considering either adding thrift items to my store or just transitioning back there, to where I started. As a reseller, one should always be doing research, and reading retail news. Reselling is worth it, if one is willing to work, If one is just getting into it because one thinks they can easily make a quick buck without doing any research or what you mentioned in this video, then one will be disappointed and frustrated with the outcome, For example I see people who buy liquidation pallets because someone one here on KZbin did a video of what they purchased from that company only to be disappointed and blamed the reseller and the liquidation company for junk they received. What the person who watched the video then purchased the pallet DID NOT do was read the terms and agreement section on that liquidators website, also the person watching the KZbin video did not actively listen to the reseller on the video when they said they are being endorsed on the video. How-ever, there is one woman reseller doing KZbin videos that I would not recommend, and you might know who she is. "HINT" She owned a bin store, and failed now she is selling on FB. In one of her last videos she showed the good stuff but said she will not show the other box. I am sure the other box was full of junk duplicates not worth selling.

I agree it's worth it IF you're willing to make it work. It is simple in a way that you're just buying stuff to sell, but it's not simple in the sense that you need to be able to make sure you're selling stuff people actually want which is by far the trickiest part. Thank you for your comment!

I have a question? When do you think it’s a good time or amount to start an LLC? I wanna start one eventually but I know there is a lot that goes into forming one. I also know it’s not required but it’s good to have if your business makes a lot to pay for an LLC & to protect your assets. Thanks for the video!

Honestly, I still don't have an LLC and don't know enough to answer. Sorry! This might be a better question for an accountant or lawyer.

When you say part time, what do you mean in terms of earnings and/or time commitment? Just in general.

I mean kind of both. More a time commitment, but the money follows that as well.

@@t.j.sanders4213 I would say it depends on the category. If you’re doing clothes, Poshmark. Anything else probably eBay. It’s more complicated but better at getting sales than other options.
