I really hope the mercenaries will be coop, kinda like re5,6. The coop in these two games is really fun and great and to this day i still play it, i think coop will make the mercenaries even more fun to play it with friends.

​@Amari's Perspective no it didn't. Even when it RE2R came out, RE1 Remake on gamecube was still considered the best remake since it never cut out things completely, it improved on things. And if it did cut things it replaced them with good content. it practically made the og RE1 obsolete. Re2 remake didn't do that, since there's things in og 2 that Remake doesn't have.

I don’t see any of that here, but I believe you’ve witnessed it. Games like Gotham Knights and Forspoken hurt a channel’s credibility, when the excitement and ‘push’ are so much more drastic than the games’ reception. Some will say “that’s their job, to hype a game,” and while true, that’s exactly the problem. But it’s not ALWAYS the problem, and people will use select examples to claim ‘paid hype’ when their opinion is the minority. Ultimately, I’ll do my own research, demo, etc., and buy the games I want when they hit sales. I’m not usually bothered by differences of taste.

I would have to say that my favorite resident evil game is the original resident evil 3. The reason it's my favorite in the series is you get to explore a good chunk of racoon city, there's also decisions that effect how the game plays out and nemesis is such a cool and iconic monster in the series.

Resident evil for me is my favourite. The mansion setting cant be beat, much like Arkham Asylum. Open worlds at times can lose something that makes smaller claustrophobic areas a real treat!

I've been a resident evil fan for my whole life so i think it depends on you, play the remake first to just get the new experience of the remake and then play the og to see the what it looked like and what changed. But i think the remake is a good start but also it depends on you. There will be changes in the remake so i think you should play the original if you can before or after the remake because it’s just so good.

Do remake first. That way you’ll be going in completely fresh. This is like me and the original Dead Space. I had never played it and I’m glad I never did because I have absolutely no reference to base my playthrough on. Also quite a few people tell me that they’re jealous that it’s my first time experiencing the game and how they wish they could experience it for the first time again. Start with remake. Oh and I will say, if you do decide to play the original after the remake it’ll be difficult. Mostly due to the controls and how the original plays. The controls are very tanky, Leon can’t move and shoot, there’s no parry, and a slew of other quality of life changes that they’ve made to the remake.
