I love Colorado! Beautiful scenery in your video. Took our travel trailer there in August 2023. Wish we had spent another couple of weeks there

Just remember, when you see the blowing snow across the road and the shiny tracks on the road that may be glare ice, do NOT use the cruise control. If the drive axle breaks traction, you may not be able to recover with the cruise on. And yes, the best thing you can do in most questionable situations is simply slow down. With my Ram Cummins, there are 3 settings for the exhaust brake; off - no exhaust brake, full - where it engages all the time when I let off the accelerator pedal and; Auto - where the ECU will engage the exhaust brake as well as down shift the trans as needed to maintain speed (avoiding run away). So, I almost always have the exhaust brake on auto and for clear, mostly flat, roads the cruise is set on 66 or 67 and just I let the truck handle everything.

What sort of mpg towing /unloaded do you see through the mountains ?
@TheRiverstoneLife5 күн бұрын
I don't watch my mileage that closely going through the mountains - reason being - whatever I lose going up the hill I gain double coming back down.
