I feel like now Alif will get it’s due attention after not being in constant competition with mere paas tum ho. Kubra is an absolutely brilliant actress who has managed to make the character of husn e jahan all the more special. Also I agree that this is how the writing of a play should be; even the dialogues of Pehlaaj are not overbearing and do not seem like they are coming from the mouth of a fully grown writer. Once again great job in the review !!

Again you people have to draw comparison with completely two different stories. Rumi was a child who went through a completely different trauma compared to Momin. Yes the Alif is really good but why you guys feel the pinch that MPTH didn't deserve what it got?
@droneshots2574
@droneshots2574 4 жыл бұрын
Ahsan Arshad With all due respect, the intent of my comment in no way was to demean mere paas tum ho which was an equal if not better play. While it is fine to say that Roomi aged beyond his years it’s still a little difficult to digest his dialogues. That being said his acting was on point. Similarity can be drawn in the fact that both of them lost a parent. So in no way was I discrediting mere paas tum ho but at some points it felt like the dialogues were inappropriate just as their are some minor problems in every play. Also mpth deserves everything that came it’s way

I completely agree with Amina. Even though I myself am a bit loud and hot headed but iqra Aziz gets way too loud in her dramas. Especially in suno chanda where it got more annoying than cute. And here too. She can tone it down and still play well like Neelum Muneer did in Dil Mom Ka Dia. Her performance was on point.

I want to clear something regarding CSS kindly highlight it as this institution was alo wrongly targeted. 1. CSS written result comes after 10 months of exams. 2. Interview takes place after 6 months of result. 3. Final result comes afte 3 months of interview. 4. Training starts after 3 months of final result. 5. Training takes upto 18 months. 6. Entire process takes 2.5 years! 7. And the most important thing, there is 0% chance if nepotism in CSS exam process. This was wrongly shown in the drama. Please mention this as people are learning through this forum.

I think what Momina meant when she said: "I see myself in Husn e Jehan", was that she felt the empathy in her selfessless. How Husne Jehan went an extra mile for Qalb e Momin's education and clothes (by selling her assets: paintings and doing mujra again on her mother's force), is similar to how Momina was in desperate need of just getting a Goddamn role in a well paid job for her brother's medical treatment. That's what I perceived from her dialogue, at least where I think she was coming from. Nevertheless, Amna please never give up regardless of rude comments, Keep reviewing all aspects of acting and execution. I always await your intellectual conversations and evaluation of art and performances. And Im glad for both of you spoke my heart out on the army vs politics agenda in Ehd e Wafa and exaggerated high pitch in Jhooti (and Suno Chanda of course)

I really hope Shahzain gets a redemption arc, because I don’t think he’s a bad person at his core. He was taken out of school, was separated from his friends for a long time and felt heartbroken about it (that scene where Sheheryar’s dad tells him to stay away and he cries on his drive home!), and he became embroiled in that feudal ideology. I don’t want him to end up a unidimensional villain; I think he is far more complex than that and deserves some redemption.

Brilliant review as always! 👏🏻 Wanted to add a bit that Momina sees herself in Husn e Jahan as Husn e Jahan was once as successful as Momina is now, Husn e Jahan also ruled once like Momina. Momina after listening to her heartbreaking downfall is now afraid of her downfall, that the world which once revolved around Husn e Jahan's charm completely forgot her & she was at the floor in the end, Momina can see her future in her which broke her heart & mine too!💔 Every success is bound to have a downfall - bitter reality!

On the topic and controversies on how people say why girls are portrayed either too selfish or too innocent is that first of all everyone has a problem with everything now adays secondly I feel that there are tons of women like Nimra, they have been kept so conserved in the family that they become rebllious and selfish. Not sure if this is the case for Nirma tho. And I found jhooti's first epusode very ordinary and nothing new about it. Its the same story where a person destroys everyones lives and this story had been madw so many times in dramas like khamoshi(Where Iqra had a very similar role), Dil Mom Ka diya, Gul o Gulzar. Its good its been made again but just saying this cz Amna said its a refreshing story. And Hassan, you forgot give the flying puppy to Alizeh Shah as you praised her in ehd e wafa😂

I think husn e jahan was upset not just loosing Taha but the spirituality and closeness to God, which was the reason she married Taha. She went away from the glamorous world n then had to return back. And the same Momina showed her feelings for not doing haraam n her love to God multiple times with Master Ibrahim but she had to act because of her circumstances.

Secondly, they have not just shown the good image of Army but they have also shown honest journalists like Shariq and people who work hard and are deserving can get a good post by giving CSS exam. Looking forward to a discussion on Shariq in your next WIR. Alif: The fight (if you can call it a fight) of Taha and Husn e Jahan was not because they started to hate eachother or their love was weakened but due to their ego which Husn e Jahan mentions also when Sultan says that "Rok leti usko" and she replies that "Dil ne kaha rok lo, ana ne kaha janey do". A world where emotions of every kind filled my soul and I felt I was living all of the emotions at one time. Brilliant acting by both actors. Commendable body expressions with the most perfect delivery of their dialogues. I am bowled over. Also, the lines Taha said to Husn e Jahan’s beauty r so true. I didn't like jhooti.. The guy who is grooming Shahzain his name is Rehbar. In my view, they're showing the real image of politicians, majority are actually like this. it's a bitter truth! And in absence of Amna I would like to see Zehra with you on Friday.

Taha went to Konya for moulana Romi’s shrine and He had an accident leading towards death. Husn e jahan wrote letter and Abdul Alaa sb came to clear misconceptions Sultan spread rumours that husn e jahan is dead and he helped her escape to Turkey and later Abdul Alaa sb married her to his known and trusted fellow

Brilliant review Amna and Hassan. Loved the way you said about the comparison between MPTH and Jhooti that it has nothing to do with that... So so true. I agree with the decibel thingy of Jhooti's character Nimra plus you ppl might hv forgotten her over the top badtameezi in this drama. Alif's episode was a masterpiece in every aspect. Can't praise it enough. The way Husn e Jahan sat in front of her mom spoke volumes and also the dialogues between Taha and Husn e Jahan were very spiritual and emotional. Each and every scene was impeccable.

Agreed with Aamna! In Suno Chanda, the character Iqra was portraying, it suited her. In Ranjha Ranjha, she was brilliant. But, in Jhooti, she is way too loud - she doesn't need to be loud in every character. In Suno Chanda, the character demanded it. Sajal, for example, is also naive and young in Ye Dil Mera, but she has played it to perfection. All in all, disappointed with Jhooti!

Alif- so well said,Hasan. Every dialogue between Kubra and Ahsan were so much in depth. So heartbreaking, so tragic. And so calm and in that calmness is so much intensity. Amna, regarding their love/hate, there was not hate that is depicted, but the helplessness ,never the hate for each other. And she says that it was Ana that held her back. And so beautifully said Ana adele hi rehna chahti hai and destroys all other people and relationships. And Sultan, it shows Suraiya so much in love. He keeps the honor by offering marriage, and noteworthy is that he says Suraiya is thankful to you. Meaning Suraiya also knows that he is besotted with Husn e jahan but still feels gratified that he marries her. Regarding her suicide, he might have meant it figuratively. That marrying again was a suicide for her. Also as Aamna said,Kubra says I did Shirk. Which made me feel less bad for him going as it felt that Taha was a means or a symbol for God who she actually wanted to reach. Anyway,beautiful beautiful piece of art- direction, story,performances, everything.
