My biggest annoyance as I watch you, off-gridders, skoolies/van-life folks, world travelers, tiny house peeps and others adopting less traditional ways of living is all of the viewers that think it is their job to tell you want to do. No one else is there on a day to day basis. No one else knows all of the particulars and challenges you make. So don't let the critics get under your skin. You use your best judgement and when, on occasion you make a mistake it's your problem, not theirs. You guys rock!! I very much enjoy watching your journey. May you live in love and find peace in your own special ways.

Awesome vid! Love the fishing teamwork! Congrats on graduating! This was one of my favorite Zatara episodes. I think because I place so high of value on my children it's more enjoyable for me to watch you vs other channels without children. There's a major difference between sailing for you and sailing for them. Keith, I too am a DP fan. Luckily my family likes yellow soda, so I don't have to hide my own stash! Great job on the long journey. As an airline pilot, I really love instrumentation - so it's really satisfying when you show the shots of your electronics and instrumentation! Love the Mavic shot at the end! Hey! If you have a screen recorder on your smart device (Like DU Recorder), try posting the on screen view with instrumentation for the Mavic! Check the res though,,, it might be too low to use in your vids. Not sure what resolution DU Recorder takes. Check out our latest vids if you get a chance. It would mean the world to us as your fans to see a like or comment from you! Thanks again. You guys are our favorite! ~ Josh

@SailingZatara5 жыл бұрын
There are many things that cannot be converted due to the frequency difference; small things are fine like battery chargers, but larger things like small appliances and electric motors can’t handle the lower frequency of 50hz. Thus the reason we had to buy lots of new electronic items.

@@philipmarro6610 an adapter wont convert 50hz to 60hz. on the back of many power supplies, you can switch between 50 and 60hz but if there's not that switch, you either get a new power supply or (usually cheaper) get a new device / appliance. although you could get a 60hz generator and switch the system over, then you'd have to change out all the appliances that aren't compatible which wouldn't make as much sense.

I grew up on a ranch just like Keith and I miss it too. I think I'm also drawn to these sailing videos because these long ocean passages are allot like ranching because you're working together with your family, you're improvising fixes for things that are broken, you're totally self sufficient, you're catching your own food, Mom is keeping everyone fed. These long voyages are not much different than working a ranch during the summer. I think that's why I like the ocean passage videos better than the destination videos; unless you're exploring the Mediterranean.
