As you said you "have to be razor sharp in and out" Problem begins when a trader scalps and a sudden spike in the opp direction of his/hers trade..Unless they get stopped out..That person then changes the mindset of " ah ok I'll hold this for a short-medium term trade" though that always results in deep loss as the premiss of the trade I,e was a scalp NOT a mometum trade so there's most likley no TA behind the entry, risk vs reward etc etc.. FYI- I coached traders in the past as best method to scalp which I call the quick silver method.. 1- Scalp liquid markets ex DAX,Dow 500 index, major forex pairs, gold oil.. 2- Never scalp with large postions! for example If scalping an index like the DAX No more than a 3 size in Euro dollars.. 3- Decipline = waiting for best entries checking multplle times frames like 4hr-down to 1min to see if for alignment.. And understanding major support -resitance areas on Weekly- daily..4 - Scalping objective I,e profits you should NOT have big profit targets as scalping is in and out with profit varying depending on the move.. 5- Scalp in time clusters -I,e If that market has good moving range which suits your style of scalping..Scalp for only 30 or so mins.. When 30 min is up regardless of if you made profit or a loss..Walk away do something else get out of the house go for walk , clear your mind..It has been proven that the longer you sit starring at charts your mental abiltiy will tire.Which results in loss of trades.. 6- Scalping is NOT an every day thing.. As a trader you should be setting better longer monentum trades..If you have longer term trade running in profit, there's no need to push it more.. Hope that helps..

This is one of the best videos for scalping I have seen, I have implemented the ideas you are talking about and just achieved passing two funded account evaluations.

I'd like to see your take on scalping crypto on exchanges like Binance & Bitmex. I have 100% profits shorting Bitcoin on Bitmex this year but I think we're close to the bottom and have switched to Binance as a none margin buy sell alternative where there's no end of volatile crypto pairs to scalp without margin & leverage. Love all your content.

Help please !!...I am still failing at making a profit. I started off with £2000 and this has crept up to £9000. I love scalping and win approx 50% of the time but I seem to fail at the other 50% and I tie my account up with large outstanding amounts left on my trades as I always think the trades are going to come back my way. The trade runs away and I then have to trade in the opposite direction to correct this and wait for the trade to catch up with the market. I am always left trading with a small amount in my resources as the rest is stuck in my P & L. And I am at my computer the whole time watching my trades running away which makes things worse. Any ideas? I know about stops and losses but by then things are too late. I have watched all your videos over and over and you have helped me massively. I have been trading only for 6 months and I am still afloat...JUST!!!

Any good book on learning the art of Scalping out there? How to Enter/Exit and stay profitable consistently?
@ukspreadbetting5 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the long delay in answering. Not that I know of - there are a few old classic tape reading books out there which are still useful for getting a feel about how price changes short term though. I recommend just spending the time you would on a book just watching your preferred market at key levels only. So when it hits Highs/Lows/Closes then watch price like a hawk to see how it moves and how it responds to breaks, pauses, big runs, fakes etc. That is better than any book :-)

As always, great overview and advice. What are your thoughts on scalping throughout a weekly/monthly swing trading plan? I developing my trading plan for the week each Sunday, then as the week progresses, I take scalping opportunities and still maintain my overall plan for the week. Also, there seems to be an abundance of scalping strategies, do you have any recommended book or resource that covers your preferred methods? Thank you.

Spreads are a waste of time. Learn indicators, learn market internals. Buy options and get in and out fast. I scalp Amazon options 1 day every week and turn 500 into ~1200 every time.

Whats your most favourite indicator? Im working with OBV or MFI and major S/R. I have 3:1 ratio of winners. SO the point is, cut loses fast and dont be too greedy. And ofc sizing matters:)
