Yes. If you're selling steel, then anything paying more is worth it, maybe sell smaller loads before it builds up. That was a great pay day for sure. Our local storage facility has a forklift you can use. Keep up the good work. 👍

Last time I took in Dirt AL in was a 2 cent difference. I did have a good amount of weight ( some of that was water). I don't bother with it. Now if I got one big haul of it that would be different.

Is Scrapping Dirty Aluminium Worth The Trouble? My scrap yard give me 6 cents per pound for the shred and 15 cents for the dirty-irony ally. I think it make a difference. But I do not have as much as you have because I clean everything I can. So dirty ally is what is uncleanable. I choose to clean most of the material because I find less than you can. I think you would starve here. Winter (with good amount of snow) is coming so there will less scrap on the streets. I will clean in the garage what I harvested this summer. But I think the way you go is fine with the big piles you deal with.

My yard will only take the pots as dirty ally because of the non stick coating. So I don't waste my time taking out screws and such. Still gonna be dirty. So why waste time trying to clean it.

Trying to get rid of the other metals in the ally (like the outboard) is strenuous work for littgain, I don't blame you for just getting it sold as is. @@PolyProphet Usually when you purchase a battery, they charge you a core charge. Here in Wisconsin it's $10, so if you bring in a battery you get $10 off. Talk to Matt from Nacho Stuff, every time he takes batteries in, he's getting more from store than scrap value.
