Siem Reap is a very small city which everybody knows everybody.. Most girls there do not like going out with foreigners because they going to get a bad reputation.. and they realize that there are not able to marry them because of cambodian law. So most of them just don't bother seeking foreigners.. Instead they get married very young to a local .. So most of the once that are available and willing to be with a foreigner are in they 30' or 40' with hungry kids and parents to feed .

Went from the market to the Hard Rock Cafe to buy a Teeshirt, and had some blokes appear out of the shadows asking me "you want lady?" I am here now and being in Chiang Mai a few weeks ago it reminds me of there. So many western couples exploring the city. The bars here now are almost always near empty. When I arrived there was only one plane unloading passengers.

I just read on THai Visa forum Cambodian section , that there is a substantial drop in western tourists in Siem Reap. Some smaller bars, restaurant and shops may close down. A lot of Chinese tourist but they go only were the bus take them for food and lodging ( Chinese own business) I guess westerners going there for fun as couple or single were not so bad for the locals.

I was in Siem Reap in January. It's a tourist town and you have to search out for bars with ladies. Trike drivers will always ask you if you want, "massage, lady, marijuana?" Top end of pub street you can meet freelance girls and ladyboys, oh and there's a lot of happy ending massage parlours the further you walk up the street. Oh if your looking for a gay bar, you need to look/ask for a 'man bar.' So something for everyone in Cambodia. 👍 cheers

Hi, the next time you are in SR take a stroll down the length of Road 50 (Sok San). At the top of the road there are several good value for money restaurants. First right will take you to one of the night markets. But, carry on down the road and on the left (50 yards before you get to the Mid City Hotel - where I've stayed many times) are several small late night bars - frequented by friendly local ladies. Ed..I enjoy your videos. Do you go the the Khmer bar area in Siem Reap? Local music, cheap beer and girls. Friendly girls to old men. Some bar fine some don't. I stay in the area and prefer the local bars. Girls are shyer. I go with my local friends and stay at new friends hotel. $17 to $21 depending on friendship and girl friendly. Also to other people..please respect the girls. Many do this as it's better pay than a sweat shop. Many do this to support a family or child.
