I used to drink soda and now I drink La croix, idk what the PH levels are for the specific kind I drink (cran- raspberry) but Ik that it’s healthier then soda lol.. And that’s all I was really going for. But great video.

Great video, nice that you tested these commercial drinks. I make my own soda water by filtering what comes from the tap, chilling it, then charging it with a SodaSparkle thing. Works well, I prefer to drink it plain but sometimes add a few drops of flavoring to a glass. My teeth are porcelain so no erosion issues here. Thank you for dispelling the 'dangers of soda water'. Alarmists are like buses there's another just around the corner!

Just found your video about pH levels in seltzer...specifically Polar plain seltzer in my case. My dentist just attributed 4...4! cavities to my drinking plain seltzer water with my supper every night. Even though I brush my teeth and floss and use mouth wash...They say I shouldn't drink seltzer any more...but I only drink it with supper...about a liter and a half total, and I brush my teeth before I go to bed...So, I'm just wondering, what do YOU think? I'm starting to think that it might be because I can only have dental x-rays every 5 years...according to my accepted dental plan, and maybe these cavities have been there for a while, and somehow came from something other than seltzer somehow...In any case, I don't really get it, and I just wonder what you think. Thanks...

Do research on the history of flouride you may find it is not as healthy as you presume.
@paulaoyedele20816 жыл бұрын
Neville Harvey ....I don't think she said it was healthy, just that the fluoride protects teeth enamel. Our city eliminated fluoride for 4 years but decided to bring it back because of the amount of cavities in children starkly rose from percentages 4 years prior. Damned if you do and damned it you don't.

What about the possibility of the carbonation leaching calcium out of bones? That is the concern that I had heard about carbonated water.
@Nourishable5 жыл бұрын
Great question. There hasn't been any data to back that up with carbonated water. Carbonated colas like Coke and Pepsi are high in phosphorus and this has been shown to reduce bone mineral density, in part because phosporus and calcium compete to get absorbed into our body.
@marial.rapaglia40415 жыл бұрын
TOO MUCH SODIUM IN SODA IS WHAT BREAKS DOWN THE CALCIUM IN YOUR BONES!!! SODA COMPANIES NEED TO LOWER THE SODIUM LEVELS IN SODA FLAVORS!!! SUNKIST BRAND SODA IS ONE OF THE WORST FOR HIGH SODIUM LEVEL IN THEIR SODAS & NEED TO LOWER THEIR HIGH SODIUM LEVELS IN ALL THEIR SODA FLAVORS!!!

Salt is a very key nutrient in the diet. MD's constantly harping against intake of salt, based on ZERO nutritional facts to back that up. MD's have precious few hours of actual nutritional study in their practice, which is mostly study on drugs and surgeries (the vast majority of profits for western "medicine"). Salt contains essential nutrients the body simply cannot do without. Not all "salt" is the same, the white junk you find on the tables of restaurants and stores of your grocery have little to no nutritional value and have been stripped of dozens of minerals your body needs. Buy pink Himalayan salt or at least the gray colored sea salts, and add as much to your food as your tongue decides is flavorful, and FIRE YOUR STINKING MD. There is no connection between salt and heart disease, and no connection between salt and blood pressure. Blood pressure is a lack of magnesium in your diet (muscles exist in your artery walls; calcium required to contract a muscle and magnesium required to relax that same muscle). Heart disease is also a nutritional deficiency. Even if you believe you're getting enough nutrients in your food, your gut has to be in optimal condition to absorb them.
