I wanted to talk about this subject because I know how concerning it can get when it comes to a "bench pr" or a "deadlift pr" as a regular gymgoer. With time, i found out that I actually started putting on muscle when I stopped doing the big three (squat, bench, deadlift), focusing more on actually targeting the muscle I was trying to hit rather than just trying to move as much weight as possible.
