Nicely put together like the comment of being a fairytale place in winter. Also didn’t realise you needed to be precise on the insurance. 🎥👍❄️❄️

Wow, St. Petersburg looks amazing in the winter. We haven't been there yet but we love to visit places in the low season, so we might go there for the first time in winter. It would be great to visit Hermitage museum without the crowds. The winter scenes look definitely like a winter fairytale. Love your inside break tip! Always nice to be inside and drink something warm when it's cold outside. Beautiful drone shots!

Snow makes indeed the landscape so pretty. And inside breaks are just essential, you can't be outside for a whole day.

Tips for Visa and insurance are so important, lots of people messed up their trip without considering it. St. Petersburg in winter does look rather amazing but I think I would wait until spring. Great views still!

I want to visit Russia someday - unfortunately it is quite difficult to get visas for me. Fortunately St Petersburg is an exception in some cases (visa is not required), including a day trip with ferry from Finland, or any visit less than a week, I believe. Good tips on visa application/insurance (had a problem when visited Belarus as well). Great props on the winter clothing LOL. Someday we want to do the Trans Siberian Railway, and I think Siberian is most likely much colder than St Petersburg. Thanks for sharing - Russia in Winter looks so inviting (not scared of the cold and the snow :) )

The drone shots you got of St Petersburg in the snow look really beautiful but man I think I would die of cold 😂 -15?! I feel like I'm catching hypothermia at 8 degrees whilst wearing 5 layers 🙈 I'm made for the tropics clearly. I love the designs of all the buildings. They're so majestic, especially the one at 3:43.

Well celebrating new year in Moscow is great. But they also have a park where they put water on all the paths on that big park and you can skate around.

Regarding the visa - Russia now issues e-Visas for entry into St. Petersburg, starting in October 2019. Requirements for a St. Petersburg visa include a valid passport for at least 6 months from arrival in Russia and a digital photo to turn in with your online application. So it's now a bit easier if you want to check this fabulous city.
@Svenywhere

But is that only when you go to St Petersburg? What if you want to combine it with Moscow. Or what if you want to go completely somewhere else such as lake Bakal
