👕T-shirts and caps: migrationology.com/store/
During my visit to Saint Petersburg, Russia, I wanted to visit a local market. So we walked over to a market that wasn’t far from the hotel where we were staying. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but are always one of my favorite places to explore. #Russia #RussianFood #SaintPetersburg
Mix of cultures, flavors, ingredients, and foods - Something I was happily surprised about was the mix of cultures represented at the market in Saint Petersburg - there were a mix of people mainly from former Soviet countries like Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan and the food represented that. After walking around the market for a little while, we then stopped to eat some Russian pickles from a friendly lady. Her pickles were delicious. Next I tried a bowl of meat and potato soup with dill. In the end I figured out they were from Tajikistan.
Kazan Cathedral - Russian Orthodox Church - Next up on this travel guide tour, we visited Kazan Cathedral, one of the iconic landmarks of Saint Petersburg. We proceeded to walking around the Church of the Savior on Blood - Russian Orthodox Church, and finally St. Isaac's Cathedral. Saint Petersburg, Russia is truly an amazing city and wonderful to walk around.
Russian Vodkaroom No. 1 - Russian Restaurant - Finally to end this food and attractions tour of Saint Petersburg, Russia, we had dinner at Russian Vodkaroom No. 1, an excellent Russian food restaurant known for its food and vodka. 5,822 RUB ($91.28) - Total price for everything

Actually calling that soup as "ours" meaning it's tajik was so goofy at that point! Chef from Tajikistan doesn't make that food tajik. It is popular over the whole central Asia region. Originally the name of the soup Shurva (chorba) comes from Arabic and probably the food itself has Arabic roots too

@@theoldhag615 Me too. I find every all architecture from around the 19th century and earlier to be breathtaking. But Russia, despite also having many fires, wars, and people taking down old buildings for no reason, still has one of the highest number of historical buildings. It's just too big I guess. Have you seen Indian temples? Or even the oldest pictures of America? Or the gothic style in Europe? The whole world was just artistically motivated back in the day.

Moscow and St. Petersburg are beautifully made because they are some of the main cities in Russia. Basically, only in large and popular cities there are beautiful buildings and advanced technologies. In small towns, everything is bad. I live in a small town in Russia, but I don't even want to move in the future to Moscow or another cool city, because there though. Dude, NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT! It is full of garbage and evil people, unfair prices and a lot of scammers. You can even keep silent about the government, it's a horror. Moscow and St. Petersburg are beautifully made because they are some of the main cities in Russia. Basically, only in large and popular cities there are beautiful buildings and advanced technologies. In small towns, everything is bad. I live in a small town in Russia, but I don't even want to move in the future to Moscow or another "cool" city. In cities like Moscow, only the main streets are beautiful, and there is really beautiful lighting in the evening and there are many amazing musicians! However, it is worth going into the alley farther away, and you will find yourself as if in another, terrible city. You only got into about half of that market. When I lived in St. Petersburg, the other half has amazing hole in the wall restaurants from around the former Soviet Union. There are also Vietnamese and Chinese places hidden in the buildings as well. That area was my favorite place to explore the year I lived in St. Petersburg.

Soviet people live of pickled stuff, pickles, pickled tomatoes, apples, lots of pickled/fermented sour kraut. Soups and borsch are a daily staple, with a nice piece of bread! Also condensed milk, is used as a filling in a lot of deserts

coz of Russian long winters people had to stock the food to get through almost half a year. That's how pickled food have become so popular in Russia. Nowadays, when the food is in abundance and the economy is more or less stable stocking up the food for winter is something practiced in remote rural areas, but the urban population does not bother with it.
