If she wants us to stop eating meat to support life because cows and chickens are sentient and eat plants instead then that's no better. Plants are alive, too. They're born, they grow, they reproduce and they die. They also need food and water. Just because they eat sunlight doesn't mean they're any less alive. And there are many plants that are intelligent with how they've evolved to survive by spreading their pollen to how they choose to grow by picking the best spot to get the best nutrients. I haven't even mentioned the carnivorous plants, yet. It's not about her choosing her lifestyle. Now she wants to disrupt the food chain. Forgetting that thousands of years ago, mankind didn't keep giant farms full of chickens and cows, but hunted Bison and Mammoths for food.

My mom is as thin as this lady, but not by choice. She has digestive/absorption issues that cause it, and lemme tell you. She is not healthy. Her doctors are constantly on her to eat more, take more supplements, get more healthy fats, etc. Every time she gets even a headcold she's in danger of hospitalization because she doesn't have enough fat to sustain her through more than a couple of missed meals or heavy duty healing. She had surgery and was almost taken out by the fkn anesthesia because she doesn't have the body volume to properly metabolize that shit. Mom is in her 70's and being as thin as she is is a legitimate detriment to her health and daily life.

@Impassion I don't know, actually. I don't keep up with her other than a few reaction videos when she does something more insane than previous and my faves decide it's time to cover her. My mom survived getting a lung removed, but the anesthesia almost shuffled her off the mortal coil. Her doctors wouldn't have risked it if it wasn't life threatening But yeah, she's probably even more nutrient depeleted than mom, who does eat the full range of available foods so ahe does get a large variety of vital nutrients, just not enough of any of them. If vegan teacher isn't on the appropriate supplements etc, she's probably even worse off

As someone with chickens, the idea chickens have wings to enjoy flying is BS. Chickens, even the ones that have good flying capabilities don't like to fly as it means . Chickens only fly to escape predators, hens escaping roosters that wont leave them alone, to roost in a high place safe from ground predators that will eat them and as a boost to speed to get to a destination faster, which they do when they know food is being thrown down for them. Most chickens, namely the chicks use their wings for when having fun is a boost to jumping. Even the chicks don't like to fly, but they like to run and jump around. I'm in recovery for a restrictive ED. Being malnourished can really mess with your head and the year before treatment I can't honestly say when I slept. It's been studied that people who do not eat enough during the day will wake up in the middle of the night because the body is running out of energy. The body needs to do its thing during the night. So lack of nutrition, lack of sleep - that is a recipe for disaster. Also, more than one dietitian have told me they know vegans who've died from malnourishment. They may seem healthy on the outside, but the body can only handle so much. I'm not suggesting the Vegan Teacher has an ED or that all vegans aren't nourished enough.

Who is going to pay to feed animals that are no longer "working" for their upkeep? What about lactating female animals; Cows, Goats, Sheep? Yes they wean their babies, in their own time. If you remove a Calf from its mother, and do not milk the Mum, her udder will become engorged and then enflamed; she develops Mastitis. Mastitis can kill a lactating animal. These poor ladies need antibiotics and pain killers administered frequently for up to 10 days. Who will pay for the treatments, when the cow/goat/sheep is not "working for her keep" in the first place? The answer is NO ONE WILL PAY TO TEND THE ANIMALS IN THE CASE OF A BAN ON MEAT/DAIRY. No, instead, MILLIONS of animals would be slaughtered and likely incinerated. You cannot just turn loose millions of stock animals to fend for themselves. They will starve, get ill, likely keep breeding new babies, and be a nightmare to the countryside. She never ever speaks of what she envisions for the future of the Animals when her master plan to convert the world has been achieved, does she? Because she has no plan. She does not actually care about the animals; she's just angry at the Humans who raise and tend animals and the people who eat the products... veganism is bad for the world, it would require clearing millions of acres of woodland to support the growth of vegan products. 22 - 65% of the food produced is acceptable visually for sale, the other non viable ( visually non attractive product, blemished over/undersized) is used for animal food souce. Since there would be a reduction in animals raised for a food source, the need for animal food would decrease, thus the amount of non viable produce would increase dramatically and be a loss since it wouldnt meet the standards for human consumption. The amount of additional water required to supply the fields of produce to grow properly would drain the supplies/stored water 4-5 times faster thus leading to controlled useage and shortages would occur.
