My 93 LS400 is a gem too, it didn't have the best maintenance outside of oil changes, and basic. But I am slowly giving it the love it deserves, but it's in almost immaculate cosmetic condition, and despite being on factory spark plugs, and wires it shifts buttery smooth, and ran like a champ! I just replaced all the plugs, and wires with NGK's, brand new air filter. My car is an Arizona car so the hoses, and everything are all rotted badly, and I have to get a new breather tube, and the PS pump, is over due. But old car problems aside my LS400 is beautiful, it's a 93 gold package as well and I will drive this car until I can't anymore!

yoooo nice car man!!! I used to drive the blue two-toned one with the same year about 10 years ago with around 200,000 miles when I bought it. Totaled the car by HUGE hit and run accident in DTLA. Even though the right side of the car is completely smashed, I was totally fine with no injuries after the accident. After that I bought LS 400 1999 and now I have driven gs 2009 for about 10 years now. Honestly the セルシオ era from 10前期−30後期 is the best cars of entire toyota history in my opinion, especially 30後期. Old school yakuza cars. I love them so much.

Metal 3d printing exists. When it is more mainstream/shops can do custom prints, we can make anything. Custom exhausts, suspension components, internals, anything. CAD is limitless. It will blow open the market for older cars.

I’ve had my millennium silver 2000 LS400 as a daily for two years now and absolutely adore it. No rust, 165k miles, on coil overs, resonator delete, and everything works. 20” chrome Dubs in summer, 18” gold BBSs for winter. Gets a lot of love from random people too. I thoroughly enjoy every minute behind the wheel of this Japanese automotive masterpiece.🤌🏼 My Mother has driven a very clean 100k mile 1993 LS400 for six years now as well and she loves it too. Peace to anyone who has a passion and appreciation for the LS400.🙏🏼 1UZ for life.☝🏼

do you get any of electrical issues with your ls400 ? i am asking since the cars that is +25 years old tend to have those electric nightmares when capacitors start to leak, ribbon cables and diffent control boards go bad… any negative OR positive comments ? Thank you for your time
@eddiethetruhead11 ай бұрын
@@dmitryk2058 No electrical issues with my 2000 LS so far. The 93 LS has a few electric gremlins like the inoperable side mirrors, fuel gauge barely works and needles on the dashboard gauges don’t fully light up anymore. My mechanic who owns a Celsior and hence knows these cars very well told me the 93 will need an ECU rebuild to bring it back. Pretty common repair for the older LS400s.

@@eddiethetruhead Thanks for your feedback, greatly appreciated. My main concern is getting stuck with a vehicle that i can't find parts for and having troubles repairing it
@eddiethetruhead11 ай бұрын
With the reliability of these LSs I don’t think parts cost is bad at all, especially compared to modern cars. Lots of bang for your buck. The fuel efficiency is decent for a V8 too as long as you drive it chill. I would suggest you don’t go older than 95 cause then you need an ODB1 reader for the engine codes instead of OBD2 which is more commonly available.

@@HenrySoBeefy What I've been running into is a luxury car at this age; parts and labor will get you. From what I've seen on the internet, many guys with this car work on it themselves, but I'm not one of those handy guys. Tried once and made it worse, lol.
@AANTHHONYY8 ай бұрын
@@HenrySoBeefydont listen to them about it being “expensive” they sold millions and millions of these cars. Junkyards have all the parts you’ll need for cheap. They share a lot of parts between the SC300 SC400. I don’t recommend you buy new parts if you can just repair the parts you have. Make friends with machine shops, you local trustworthy mechanic and pick up some books and you’ll have a great car you can work on and repairs will be cheap and you’ll know you did it yourself. My LS400 has no dash lights. The odometer is out, the trans is rebuilt poorly, and they tried to upgrade the alarm system and I Have a parasite draw. I don’t give a F about any of that anymore. The body and paint is mint and the suspension just needs new bushings. One day I’ll fix all of the small things but why spend the money? Why invest money when the point was the car was cheap lol If I spend over 3500 on repairs for the car I basically totaled it lol
