There was a used car deal on Ulmerton Rd. near Pinellas Park, back in the late 90-00s and all they sold were used japanese sports cars. RX7s, MR2s, 300ZX, 3000GTs, Supras, etc. And it wasn't a special shop where everything was inside behind locked door or fences. It was just a used car dealer with a small lot, and a trailer office, that you usually see on the side of roads. And they would let you also come up to them, open the doors, sit in them etc whn I was in HS. The salesmen didn't even car enough to come out, we were kids. They let us admire the cars, no problems.

In 1990 I was 14 years old my father worked for the fork lift division of Toyota, after visiting our local Toyota dealer, they had a red one there and I was hooked. I kept begging my dad to order one through the dealer network I told him one day this car will be or something right now it’s undervalued even my dad said at that time with the TwinTurbo who would pay $48,000 for a Toyota well about five years ago my dad and I were talking about this and he told me I should’ve listen to you Tim we should’ve bought the supra…. but oh well it all worked out. I ended up buying a super clean example of an ISF which is another car i’ve always wanted it’s a 13 60,000 miles on it in ultrasonic blue…

What a throw back memory. Sat in 1993 in a white Supra at a dealership, what impressed me the most was the cockpit feeling sitting in the driverseat and the swooping dashboard section towards the driver (shotgun passanger is a peasant😂). Couldn't afford it back than with my student income, can't afford now either with the iconic pricing stature they have. I did buy after that my very first car back than, a 2nd hand 1986 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. The Supra was a supercar killer back than. Congrats on that very clean looking Supra. 🤗

I'm a fellow MK4 Supra owner; 95 Super White, 6-speed, targa, BPU creampuff garage queen with absurdly low miles. You should join Supraforums. Though not as active as it used to be, it's still a great resource for maintenance and technical information.
@jp10878 ай бұрын
The Supra has it's place, but I prefer the 300ZX turbo if we're looking at "affordable" mid-90's sports cars according to 90's prices. Just a hair slower, but very capable and fun to drive, and to me it is more aesthetically pleasing. If you're looking in today's market, you can find one in great condition for under $30k. Hell, you can find a well cared for mid-90s Corvette ZR-1 for under $40k. Finding a Gen4 Supra in equally great condition is going to set you back $80k or more, and many times well over $100k. For that kind of money, and with today's market and how some formerly unobtainable 90's sports cars have depreciated compared to the Supra, there are a ton of equal, if not better, options to consider if you are looking for a car that is meant to be driven fast.
