I just drove one this weekend 1200 miles and it was absolutely awesome! The gas mileage was unbelievable.

I am a new retiree, just bought one, love it every minute. 99% of the time I am driving in the city, it's just perfect. The gas mileage is 44.5 mpg! It's extremely comfortable and beautiful.

100% worth it, 40+ combined mpg (hybrid) and made in Japan. Build quality is immaculate. Keep in mind this vehicle is perfect for Japan, a country will smaller roads

Great car. I mean it's not only about the car you can afford. It's more like the car that fits your lifestyle AND your region you're livin' in. I mean here in Switzerland we have not much space but also a lot of heavy traffic. It makes almost no sense to drive a huge car here, at all. I mean you can, but you will have a very hard time to find a big enough parking space. With that said this car is very good here in small narrow countries. Even though I could afford a bigger Lexus, it would be not very practical and more so; a waste of gas too.

Great comment! I totally agree with you. I live in a big city with very bad traffic and I usually prefer small cars. I'm thinking of buying this car, I could buy a bigger one of i wanted but I actually prefer smaller cars. I think this one would fit so well.

I really like the way the rear looks. Saw one when I was driving. It looks like a crossover based on the Toyota Avalon, and the love the rear of the Avalon more than the Lexus ES!

Car is zippy. This hybrid has really nice acceleration and still very good fuel economy.

I testdrove the 250h and I quite liked it. I mean granted for almost $40K one could get the Rav4 hybrid but you lose the versatility and point of the subcompact segment...which is for maneuvering in the city especially in congested apartment complex areas. The Rav4 is more of a soccer Mom commuter compact SUV, bulky so they feel safe when they go "offroading" lol. The Mazda CX-5 would be a choice too but Mazda's resale value is terrible and fuel economy is crap. The point of the UX is for city dwellers, most affordable, fuel economy, and comfort/reliability...it's a hatchback so doesn't drive like a SUV which is a huge plus. Kudos to Lexus for targeting the GLA and X2. Hopefully Lexus scraps the UX200 and just offers a premium F-Sport trim "UXF-200t" with a turbo so it actually is sporty but I doubt it will be no less than $43-45K. The UX has huge potential and has my attention over everything on the current market.

@@MeynMotorGroup I concur. Toyota/Lexus just can't be beat. There's a reason why it exists. My only major complaint with the UX especially hybrid was the cargo volume (They could easily turn that little space below it into a semi-usable bin) underneath the cargo mat. It's not a deal breaker though because I am planning to purchase mine with the cross bars which will be extra cargo volume and it looks better with it (I.M.O.). I'm waiting for the sticker to drop so far got a dealer to drop a 250h F-Sport from $40K to $35K so just awaiting the "November to Remember" sales. Excellent review by the way! 👍👌

For this price, I would buy rav4 hybrid or Camry Hybrid. Just a better car overall. If you want nimble, I would pick corolla hybrid or prius. I just don't see a reason to buy this car at this price. Rav4 and Camry is heck of hybrid.

Good job on your review, FYI - we were able to custom order our UX250h which took 3 months to arrive combining FSport with Luxury premium pkg which gives you tilt side and folding side mirrors and memory preset power seat and steering wheel with wireless cell charger and rear auto kick sensor power lift gate. Also since it was late 2019 ux, we get standard front side lights on making turns. You forgot to mention the Fsport adaptive headlights that swivel on curves. Also the seats are ventilated a/c cool I think in luxury or Fsport pkg, and btw the vehicle is not a SUV, a crossover that is a sedan height, very easy to park and best turn radius.

Also combine pkg and incentives we were under $40k, we getting between 38.5 - 42 mpg. Pillars between the two side doors is a big blind spot. Impress with the safety features which reduce auto insurance.

I super luv the front of the lexus..I think the grill is bad ass!! Luv Japanese products..I have a toyota corolla w/ almost 300.000 mls.96 & it's a awesome car..(Made n Japan) of course..My next car will b suv..I can c everything n those suv's..Luv the Lexus..

Like the look and drive of the UX 250h but the interior room is tight. Wish it had more room especially in the back seats. Did not work for me.

One year late… but not at all. It’s not dead slow by any means, just an average speed car. Knot to 30mph is very quick. A 150hp car with a traditional gearbox offers similar performance.

Instead of the UX opt for a Mazda CX5 Signature instead. It's better value, drives better, more room and offers the similar level of luxury/comfort. Furthermore it's exterior is much better looking than the UX (subjective). The UX only offers the Lexus badge and better fuel economy but not fun to drive.
