@@kamala80 1. terrain selection. If you have ever watched Asian Petrolhead or some Canadian review of their version, you will see both Korean and Canadian version has not only drive mode, but also terrain mode on that Knob. It's rediculous to give Canadian sand and mud mode, while only give us snow. 2. Locking glovebox. A bad place to go cheap on. Even my 17 sonata has lockable glovebox. And palisade on other market has it. I've yet to see ANY journalist who is brave enough to question Hyundai about these issues. I'm a close follower of this car from the beginning because I want to buy it so much. How high expectation I had, how much these points disappointed me now.

The interior on this Palisade is even more impressive than Telluride’s, but I like that you get more space in the Telluride and it’s exterior styling. In regards to top speed, I got our Telluride up to 130 MPH on an empty highway and was in 7th gear while it still had pull left! So I’m thinking it tops out around 140 or something. Wild when you consider that a 2WD Tahoe police interceptor tops out at 121 and a 4WD one at 139. I think it has a PLENTY of power at 291 HP lol.

Yeah, I had this Mercedes a few years ago and that was the most infuriating thing. From a company with the slogan 'the best or nothing' I had lights that even with upgraded bulbs, I couldn't see shit at night. Totally embarrassing. If you're selling a car for more than $30K, like you said, it should be LED at this point. It's kind of like this bullshit of trying to charge for navigation or Apple CarPlay. Get real, the screen is already there, it already has GPS in it. If I can buy a fully finished Garmin from Best Buy for less than $99 including profit, retail packaging, a charger, a windshield sucker, a screen. Then a $30K car can sure as shit add the $20 module needed to give a car GPS without trying to sucker me into a $2000 'technology' package. Less of an issue with brands like Kia and Hyundai, but inexcusable with brands like Lexus that still are only just now offering consumers Apple CarPlay, five years too late.

I have the bench seat in the rear and the passengers can control their own temp was is great when hauling teenage daughter and her friends. As we were picking it up, there were 3 families waiting in line to steal our SUV if we didn't go through with it. I tell ya what, it's a hot seller right next to the Telluride (1 month back order). It tells you something, the Koreans nailed this SUV on the mark. The SUV is simply amazing inside and out. Also, the MPG's are MUCH higher then rated by the automaker. We're getting 23 City and almost 31mpg on highway speeds of 55-65 speeds. We're coming from a 2015 Highlander where we had 24mpg Highway and terrible city. Great review, you and Alex on Autos by far the two best Auto critics on YT in my humble opinion. I am as others have mentioned frustrated that Honda, Hyundia, Kia, Subaru and other crossovers don't offer a bench seat in the top trim, don't know why these manufacturers do this. I currently have an Acadia Denali that has the bench in the 2nd row, and my lease is up in a month and I am considering the Telluride and the Palisade, but the fact that they don't offer a bench in the top trim is frustrating. I may reup and get another Acadia Denali as it has the bench and things like a 360 surround view camera which you can't get on an SEL Palisade or the EX Telluride.
@okemonaoke59605 жыл бұрын
I think Kia and Hyundai are seriously underestimating the number of potential customers who would be turned off by not offering, at least as an option, a second row bench at the top Limited trim. There lots of family of 5 who want all the luxury and gizmos but want to maximum cargo space with the 3rd row folded. Here in Canada, they learned their lesson and offered the Santa F XL with a 7 seater, second row bench at the top trim with the optional captain chairs (6 seater). Why didn't they do this with the Palisade . Same thing with Kia Sorento, they swapped the top trim 6 seater for standard 7 seater, why does the Tellluride not offer 8 seater at the Limited trim? Because of this, I am going to hold off on purchasing this iteration until they offer this option.

Another great review, always thought you do a better job than anybody else. I went down to the local KIA dealership and looked at the Telluride, there are no Palisades at the Hyundai dealers yet. I must say I was impressed with the Telluride, the problem I have with these new vehicles is there’s no room to get comfortable. The Telluride was impressive when it came to interior design. My biggest complaint with any vehicle is room, seems they keep making them smaller and smaller, the Telluride/Palisade look very comfortable. My wife and I have a Jeep Compass and just getting in that thing is like doing 10 rounds with Tyson, lol. The Telluride had a MSRP of just over $39,000.00, that was the most surprising part. My problem is that I’ve heard horror stories about KIA and Hyundai. Now this was 10 to 15 years ago but the reliability and quality were atrocious, hopefully they’re better now but when it comes time to lease a new vehicle in a year I will probably be buying my first foreign car. God bless you, keep those reviews coming.

I purchase a 2020 palisade. 8 passengers. No captain chair. Also it can tow my pontoon. I installed my own tow hitch and wiring. Had to learn the theories on how it work.

I was team Telluride, but the Palisade is growing on me fast. Plus Hyundai offers integrated remote start on its key fob. So pissed that my Kia Stinger GT2 (top trim) didn’t have that.

That looks great. GM take notes or you will be out of business very soon. Looks better then the Cadillac interior.

Hay man loved your review. You are one of the best. Lots of information but not to the point you're boring to listen to. Great job . Just one thing. If you could put some one 6 foot and over in the can so us average people can see how it would look to drive the vehicle thanks

Hate the limited wheels. Love the 5 spoke.👍 After seeing the Telluride in person.. I don't know.. there's like a mile between the headlights and overall it just looks very flat to me. I drive a 17 Colorado 4x4, so I appreciate sporty but I'd opt for Palisade fully loaded--5 spoke wheels. 👌

Black and Blue well Hyundai is known for value, even some luxury vehicles don’t offer heated or cooled seats in the rear unless you pay for some expensive packages

This was one of your best reviews to date. You were fair and you described everything really well. I actually like the Palisade better than the Telluride.

When I first saw the Telluride I loved it. My wife and I owned an 04 Sorento and bought a new 11 Sorento. Liked the O4 better. When saw first video of the Palisade I really thought it was sharpe. A week ago my wife and I went shopping. Drove a Jaguar, Cadillac and Expedition. Next day went and drove the Palisade. Dealer allowed us to take it overnight and try it out. Nothing compared. Great looks and lots of features for the money. She traded her black 17 Ford Explorer Limited for the graphite Palisade Limited. We like it better than the Telluride. People have asked her if it is a Lexus, Mercedes or Cadillac. Telluride, Telluride, Telluride sounds to me like you have a lot of negatives and are trashing the Palisade. First review I have seen, and I have watched a lot, with such harsh words for it. Final note, I remember when Toyota came to the US and we all made fun of them. Not laughing now and Hyundai is coming on strong.

Looking at trading in my wife's 2016 Honda Pilot Touring. I'm tired of the sluggish 9 speed, and auto start/stop issues. This is going to be a FULL weekend deciding between the Kia and Hyundai. I'm leaning toward Kia, but....

This SUV looks very VERY nice. The one thing I don't like is that there is no gear lever. There are only buttons for P,D,N and R. Other then that. Very impressed with this new vehicle from Hyundai

Hey Fidel - you might want to talk to Southwest Kia here in Austin, they told me (supposedly) they have 85 SX's coming in over the next couple months. When I went in last week they didn't have any, but it looks like they have at least 5 or 6 on their site now. After watching this though, it's going to be a tough decision for me, they both look great in different ways.
