The Barracuda is set to make a return from Dodge in 2021. This 1970 Plymouth Cuda AAR represents everything this is great about the muscle car era and performance. Under the hood is a 5.6L 340 6-pack that is mated to a TorqueFlite transmission. The exterior of this rare muscle car features a unique custom hood, All American Racers' graphics, and side exit exhausts. The interior of the Cuda AAR features all of the things that make the muscle car era so great. Is the 2021 Dodge Cuda going to be as ICONIC as the 1970 Plymouth Cuda AAR?

When I was a little kid about 3 or 4 years old my dad had a blue/black 71' 383 Cuda. He still regrets getting rid of it because he had 3 small kids. Especially like u said how much they are worth and what they are selling for today. (I would of kept the car and got rid of the kids)😆😆

My first car was a 71 challenger R/T. I had the twin nostril cowled scoops. The early 70s body will always haunt the back of my mind...especially in the challenger T/A trim in the sublime and black detail. The 70s were magical times in terms of old school performance and styling. The new ones may haul ass well (as long as you don't blow up your drivetrain), but will never be as epic.

Water leaks at side windows. Ran terrible because of smog controls. Plymouth dealer service was horrible. All that said I wish I had it now. It was a beautiful looking car.

The hoods on some of the current challengers are designed after it, and is one beautiful machine. The 71 Hemi cudas are my favorite muscle cars of all time and the design is the pinnacle of the muscle car era like you said, but also love the AARs and are badass machines to. The little E bodies bring the big bucks at auctions, and saw a highly optioned one at a Seattle mecum's in 2014 sale for over 3 1/2 mill. Some of those 340s are badass high compression motors, and especially when it has the six barrel on top of them. They weren't ever known as deuces, and was a GM or Pontiac term that they used for their 3x2 carbs. In fact they aren't even six packs, and are referred to as 6 barrels on the Plymouths FYI bud. The only 3x2 setup I've ever had, was in a 68 Charger RT with built 440 and added six pk that was a badass Mopar. We bought some tickets earlier today and would be so badass to cruise in that beautiful machine, but even if we don't we still win because it goes to a worthy cause and is good for everyone all around 🙏🏼. I've always wondered if the cars that they do are numbers matching and can't imagine that they are, do you happened to know Joe ?

Sounds Great. Love the Classics, that’s why I have a Scat Pack because it looks just like the Classics. I had growing up a 1969 383 4 barrel Roadrunner & a 1969 Ranchero Rio Grande with 351 Cleveland hurst shifter , I used to do wheelies in that one. My new Scat Pack of course is faster with almost 500 horseplay but the biggest difference between driving the Old & the New is in the Classic when you got near a 100 mph those cars were shaking like crazy , you would be worried that the bolts would unscrew themselves, whereas with my 2016 Scat Pack the highest speed I’ve had it at, because of traffic conditions , was 148 mph. The smoothness of the ride you couldn’t tell if you were doing 148 or 48 mph. At the 148 I had to let up on the throttle as I was (fastly) approaching traffic I had a lot of peddle left so I’m confident in attaining a top speed of 180 mph

One of my favorite cars! Please do more reviews on classic muscle cars. I'm just not too big on a "Dodge" 'Cuda. That just doesn't sound right to me. What's next, a Chevrolet GTO or a Ford Cougar?

Love the styling of these cars . That side exhaust is so cool. I just don’t think the new challengers captured the low wide sleek look of these cars.

My grandpa was a car salesman when this thing was new, and he says that he wasn't allowed to sell it to anyone under the age of 35, because the insurance companies wouldn't insure them

Oliver . That's bull shit .there was no age restrictions on buying muscle cars back then if you had a job and could handle the insurance payments the car was yours.

@@vincentfisher5895 1. You dont know what country It was is, nor the state. 2. It wasn't a law, I never said that, most insurance companies wouldn't insure the car to people under the age of 30 because of how fast it was (for the time) 3. It was a dealership policy, dumbass, because most insurance companies would refuse, so they didn't bother going through the trouble, so shut up bitch
