This type r takes me back to 2005 just lusting after all the Type R models we didn’t get in the USA. There is so much purpose in the styling while remaining simple and clean and beautiful. I'm really digging the new Type R! The stock body is definitely more mature but I can absolutely see some more sporty looks coming in the aftermarket! I'm a little surprised you didn't mention the lack of an e-brake handle though, for me that would be a zonk. I much prefer the full, yank-able handle over the little electric switch.

Good looking hot hatch. I'm guessing 350 HP and 300 LBS. of torque. I own the 21 Camaro SS 1LE with a 6 speed and I like the fact the new Type R has the 6 speed too. First off, I think it is a very clean, sleek car that makes me think this could be a retired racer’s car but also it has the practicality of the hatch(sport)back for the everyday driver. Did anyone notice the shifter boot was loose cause I did, go back and you’ll find it’s not attached to the knob. I like that it’s lowered a bit compared to the 10th Gen but me honestly I think it also gives off a humble look just because there aren’t as many sharp agressive angles and for that I’m gonna zonk it and I’ll be buying a 10th Gen but I have no doubt that this car will be leg and for many more years as EVs become the new standard.

This Type-R looks fantastic inside and out! Truly attractive and I’m really happy that the honeycomb HVAC grill has a silver border around it instead of the rather tacky red, as the silver is much more elegant. I would buy this over the VW GTI in a heartbeat! Can’t wait to see it in the flesh and drive it.

They key demographic for hot hatches and performance economy cars has always been the 18-35 demographic(always will be).. They are, for some reason, trying to move to an older, richer demo, which makes no sense to me at all. You can buy a Porsche, Corvetter, or BMW for these prices and have 100+ more HP and far better performance in this price range. Heck you can get a used GTR for these prices.

Looks very good! Looks much better then the previous generation. It just misses a manual handbrake to correct understeer if its needed and to do some handbrake turns. In a safe environment of course.

Looks really good! Love the color combo. The Type R on the engine cover would’ve looked good in red. Not sure about the red carpet though. I think I hear Volvo calling wanting their carpet back lol. It looks better than its predecessor, but the black mirrors is a deal breaker for me. They should have stuck with white mirrors like on the Integra Type-R. I doubt I can get it for anything close to MSRP anyway, so this is just a tease. The Honda dealers ruin it for many people that want one, and I blame Honda for allowing them to gouge.

It's sexy, and if I can get one without a dealer bending me over I'll definitely consider. For the backseats, I agree I'd love a delete option, and I prefer the black as opposed to the red. Hell I'd actually prefer the front seats to be black. As for the plastic on the backseat going all the way down, I know my passengers will prefer the way it is, so their knees aren't smashed into plastic, but smashed into at least a soft material. I love the way they tuned down the styling and made it more "adult". Now the big question is availability. I'm in the market for a project car and I'm torn between this and the new Nissan Z. I know the Z will be more powerful and is priced about the same for a base model. Really it's availability and if the dealer will screw me that will decide on which one I get. I was going to get an SI that I "reserved" back in November of 2021 with a delivery date of late December to early January. It was delayed I think 4 times and I wasn't going to get it until April, and my wife TKO'd her car and I needed something so I transferred my reservation payment to a downpayment for an HR-V because we needed something. The dealer was only doing a $2500 "market adjustment" on the SI, and I could deal with that. But other dealerships around me had them priced at $7000+ over MSRP, so that's a big NOPE. I just hope that madness doesn't happen with the Type-R.

Oh it will happen and even more so this time around. The previous Type-R was being sold for like 70k and people were buying it and this was before all this dealer gouging crap came into play. If I payed 50K+ for a car that's still front wheel drive and cloth seats I would question my life choices. This car is not for car enthusiasts anymore its for the rich like everything else these days.

@@RyokoX37 Canada only charging MSRP isn't really true. There are dealerships that still mark up cars. They skirt around the law by claiming that there are 'dealership installed items' and its like an additional $10,000. It really depends on what province you go to. In Quebec I heard the MSRP rule holds up but it doesnt in other places.

The 10th Gen was a nice car, but the looks really hurt it. There was too many fake vents and too much black plastic everywhere. Thus one really cleans things up and looks drop dead gorgeous. Great job Joe!

They fukt up. A sedan?! Really? Nobody is buying sedans. If you need four doors you are buying a crossover or suv. This should of been a two door proper performance coupe. Yet another fail and weird choice from the Japanese brands.
