Is the 2024 Kia Seltos the best compact CUV. Detailed review and drive.

We have a 22' Seltos SX and we love it. It's a blast to drive and we don't my the DCT. If you modulate the gas pedal like youre driving a manual trans, it performs just fine. We compared to Subaru and Mazda and are very happy with the Kia. 2 years and 25,000 carefree miles later, we would choose it again.

Great info! I did not mind the DCT in the previous gen but I know many people couldn't get used to it.

I had a 2021 SX Turbo lease with the DCT and it drove beautifully for me. Now I’m leasing a 2023 Tucson Limited which is also awesome. The Seltos was definitely one of my favorite leased vehicles though. Outstanding vehicle!

Hey Matt! how's it going hey I got 2 question I'm from U.S but now living in Canada I noticed here in Canada the cars to me engine wise and power wise feel different then in U.S they feel more powerful and strong here and drive handle good. so my question is I am stuck between getting a Seltos 2024 EX Premium package they have here & then now your Kia soul 2023 Gt Line video had me convinced lol I never liked the box look but seeing your videos the way u handling it looked good should I wait on the 2024 Kia Soul GT - Line Limited package they got or should I go for the Seltos 2024 EX premium. I fell in love with the Seltos look and performance upgrades from the 2023 version at first I was also wanting to go with the Kia Forte 2023 Gt Limited. but overall all 3 cars look great! what's your pros & cons on them & what u prefer? like I know I'm not gonna be driving a mustang or corvette or Camaro but I need something that will handle going to work home driving at nights from work or days and it's pretty much highways back n fourth as we live kinda far like 30 - 40 mins from work & also winter snow performance I wanna make sure I'm driving something handy & good for bad weather ya know? :)

Wow, that is a tough choice as all 3 are great vehicles. First in a process of elimination if you need something with AWD here in US the only choice is Seltos. Otherwise I personaly like the Soul, it is roomier and i like the shape better(personal opinion).

It's a shame that almost all reviews, as is so often the case, go with the same model: top level (or almost) AWD and even the same color! That leaves out most buyers getting a better sense of one they will more likely purchase. Often reviewers with AWD models don't realize (or don't mention) that the ride quality will not be the same as the FWD. The AWD will have the independent rear, while the FWD has the torsion beam. I'd be curious to see how the turbo sales compares to the other models.

Unfortunately we take what is available at the time and many manufacturers send their top trims first. I should be doing FWD S model next week.

@@MattTheCarguy This is good news, so I "smashed" the bell 😄. I've been driving a 3rd gen (current) Soul S for a couple of years. When I drove a 2022 Seltos it was essentially a Soul with a bigger body and a 'bit' less acceleration and fuel economy, a bit noisier and seemed to handle a less aweson like the Soul. My interest in the new Seltos it how it now excels in performance over that 2022, and may offer a better ride than a Soul.

Just test drove an SX. Great value, but something was missing from the driving experience. Just was not fun to drive.

The Pluton Blue color is 🔥Just a shame wireless CarPlay is not an option. These days all cards should offer that as a standard feature. The seats look very comfortable and the dual 10.25 screens look amazing! I wish that purple hue could be changed or just a couple other options, huh?

I yhink Kia does that on purpose for their larger screens so people use thwir build in Navigation. It does nit make sense to me as they already have the technology. I agree also with the purple look on the infotainment. EV6 and Carnival have white backgroing with same functionality, so maybe in the futurw we'll see the ability to change it.
