I really like what Chevy is doing in terms of exterior styling. The new Equinox looks like the Trax's big brother. Yes, they're both a bit underpowered, but it's fine. They're not meant as performance vehicles.

Love the midnight edition trim. Panoramic sunroof on a base model is nice. Interior is pretty good also. Chevy has really stepped up their game as of late.

I've always found this sort of argument impractical and just something for people to complain about. Because the vast majority of Americans are driving on city streets to work, school, and the grocery store. Most people aren't racing quarter miles and towing fifth wheels.

I agree that it isn't a huge issue but a car that struggles to pull itself to highway speeds with more than two adults in it could reasonably use a larger engine and better air/fuel delivery. I am not against turbo's but a car should be reasonable to drive with an engine without the forced air. With it you shouldn't have issues with the engine struggling.

Comparing this LT Midnight Edition to the RS that you reviewed previously, the LT Midnight Edition is my favorite. The main reason is the uniformity of the colors in the interior.

It's nice that Chevy is finally treating a base model the same as higher end models (LED lights, foglights, rear camera mirror, front camera, nice wheels). If you were driving a base LS Equinox in the previous ten, you feel like you're driving a base model. This looks really nice as a cruiser around town. This is really nice for $31,000...if you wouldn't have said the price, I would have guessed it was in the mid-$30k range.

As much as the RS is nice, the LT with the midnight black edition and the evotex package is just much nicer in my opinion. Still bold but more grown up, especially the interior, I find the RS red and blue to be a little overwhelming personally. This video just made me consider it right now!

I like the look and size of this SUV. I don't need to go 0 to 60 in 5 seconds i just need it to be reliable with routine maintenance done. I know some parts wear out and need to be replaced, but in due time. I remember when getting a new car was exciting, now you have to worry about it breaking down in a few months😢 0:56

Thank you once again for this great review. My wife bought hers a week ago and she loves it. She was initially sold on a 2023 Mazda cx-5 premium (USED) with 32k miles but then was sold by a salesperson's at a chevrolet dealership and was completely sold by everything about it especially the space compared to the mazda which she felt cramped. This is coming from a Jeep Patriot 2014 with 178k miles. Just which it had a little bit more turbo imo but its hers and she is not a need for speed kinda girl but coming from 147hp to 175hp is a huge upgrade

Just bought mine its a awd so no cvt. Had a 2018 that i put 150k on with no issues. 2.0 is junk had a xt4 for 1 year and 15k and the transmission went out along with 5 other cadillac xt4s at the dealership

These changes made me run to buy a mazda cx 5 with the 2.5l non turbo with 6 speed transmission thats not a cvt. Also no cylinder deactivation or i stop. Made in japan.

I really like this new Chevy Equinox. Both the interior and exterior design are much improved from the previous generation. I am in the market for a small crossover SUV. I am also looking at the Honda CRV and the Toyota RAV4. For those who have experience with the previous Equinox models and / or with Chevy products in general, how would you rate the overall quality and reliability of the Equinox ? If I maintain it properly will it last 150 K or 200 K miles? Or is it better to go with the CRV or the RAV4 ? Thank you.

I really hate how they divide things. Seeing the fender bumper line or the hood line etc. At least with this the hood line meets the grill with no little hod plate .. but the fender bumper area. I wish the could make it like the rest with qtr panels. Use half the bumper area and fender and connect like rear lol.

i dont know about underpowered, but in the highway, i ran 120-130 kph going to banff, and i easily pass other vehicles, and in the city it runs smooth.. and im asian, i love japanese cars and all, but chevy and gm cars are okay.. if you get thier lemon cars, thats just unlucky.. but today, almost all dont make solid cars like the 90's, so every other car has its own set of problems.. you should all try to test drive this one, it feels bigger inside, your like in a truck.. the old models feels like cramp, but not this one.. i just hate that its smarter than me, too much tech, but so is our cellphone.. we should all adopt and evolve.. i just wish the terrain 2025 could have come sooner, it has a big ipad in the center.. but my LT is okay..

Until they have a hybrid version, not interested. GM is doing well with all its lineup lately, even reliability wise they are on top with the best of late. And yet, for some reason they are missing the point with the market. The market wants hybrid, no EV’s nor slow pokes of 1.5T. SAIC/GM makes them, simply import them until the North American factory produce some, at least some money is going to come in… but noo!
