Ah...The Era. We sold it years ago when you had to pipe it. Better controls, even smaller ovens.

I own the AGA Mercury. They're exactly the same, just with different knobs and handles. I've been using it for three years without issue. I have read and seen videos from the UK that the induction hob does fail and is expensive to repair. If it fails for me, I'll replace it with a gas range so I can use other types of cookware besides ferritic steel based ones.

Need to be pushing gas product not electric. Still amazing to look at...just looks like a huge fire hazard to me.

Exactly opposite. Induction can't be turned on randomly. Needs metal to activate.
