Have no clue what happened to the video as it skips over the start of breaking down the arrows, I will look into the upload to see what happened! I don’t have to reupload the video somehow a gap got into it but I can live with it Also I guess I should have had the garmin closer to read speeds not at 15 yards from me How ever I don’t think there will be much difference I will retest this and see!

306-307 fps with the 84 lbs is what the speed will be . 345-350 you can tune the bow and get those speeds in tuning, the main thing at 27 inches that bow was basically losing no speed going heavier arrows so the bow is nice. 311-312 at 84 pounds and some tweaking with the 444 grain arrow is moving.
@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSAКүн бұрын
Agreed the speeds were very impressive the heavier the arrow got as it was not far off my triax with wake limbs Also the garmin was 15 yards down range that also changes the speeds significantly, but honestly its speeds that matter more to me
@randallflores-qr8cs3 күн бұрын
Unless I'm off with my math....that bow is about 30fps slower than they claim. Not hating on the bow, but if they are that far off, it speaks volumes to me about the integrity of the company. Speed is not everything, but I watched reviews in the new Hoyts today...they are faster than that bow.
@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA3 күн бұрын
They also tested the new Hoyt’s at 30 inch draw and another longer draw than what I did I seen tests with this it hit 344 at IBO tests (30 inch 350 grain) I don’t care about speed either but I’m loving this bow!
@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA3 күн бұрын
Also rewatched Podium archery tests the new hoyt isn’t faster than this bow when tested at his draw length & same weight I watched both to be sure Of course it’d be fast at my draw length of 27 when those tests were at 30 inch 🤣🤣

I bought a really cheap 80# compound from China. It’s dual limbs are .330 thick, .660 wide, 12” long and leave the riser at about 45 degrees. It’s a bear to pull ! Yet I’m wondering since to me your arrow speeds are disappointing when their weights go up, if it isn’t a side effect of a lack of mass in the limbs, backing up the resistance from the arrow weights, that leaves these modern designs with their IBO speed ratings somewhat dusted when it comes to hunting weight shafts
@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA3 күн бұрын
These speeds aren’t disappointing at all at any arrow weight… it’s 27 inch draw it’s going to be slower This bow is 10fps slower Than my 84 lb draw bow at 544 grains how is that disappointing? That’s awesome
@jfphotography693 күн бұрын
Nice bow, don't worry about a few fps difference, this bow like all the rest of todays bows will kill anything in North America, especially a whitetail deer, it's all about placement of the shot. I am looking at the black mamba 33, which should be a bit more forgiving with the longer brace height and longer axle. I am not a big guy, and a bit older than you, I weigh 155 #, 5' 7" with a 28" draw length, shoot an older Hoyt cam and a half at 60 # and I get 240 fps with 465 grain arrows, sometimes crank it up to 65#, but mostly keep it at 60-62 #'s.
@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA3 күн бұрын
I’m not worried about the speed, I am very impressed with the speeds this bow creates especially with how smooth the draw is I’m a big fan of it so far! Got so much testing with it to come!
@johnnewcomb5162Күн бұрын
The best way to test for speed is 1 to 2 ft away like they test at the factory. I'm sure you are losing some speed with it that far away from you, but that's fast for a 27 inch draw and heavy arrows. Most bows lose speed going heavy.
@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSAКүн бұрын
Exactly thank you for finally being a guy that looks at the speeds without a bias ! These speeds are very impressive for that draw length , especially the heavier the arrows got which means this bow is VERY EFFICIENT which most here can’t seem to understand

Plenty fast enough to kill anything you want to shoot with it!! To many guys get way to wrapped up in speed arrow weight and spine and would do a lot better if they would just get a bow and shoot it and practice with one setup instead of always changing their setup!! I get a new bow every year but iv used the same landslide hamskea and rip TKOs for like 5 years!! 75 lb lift 29 inch draw 442 grain arrows at 288fps and it’s a deer killer!! I just don’t like to change things up all time!! I hunt with one guy he builds 5 or 6 different dozen arrows every year all different weights plays with them then hunts with one and does it all again the next year!! Dude prob has 200 dozen arrows that’s been barely used!!
@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA3 күн бұрын
That’s how I am ahahah I don’t care about speed but I do enjoy testing it I want that happy balance of perfect flight with decent FOC & speed I think one should focus on arrow flight the most out of the 3 though This bow did very good , only being 10 fps slower with my current hunting arrow than my triax with 9LBS less draw weight that’s impressive Also I guess I should have had the garmin closer as well not at 15 yards All the other guys shoot right over it 🤣🤣

@hunterbragg25662 күн бұрын
@ well I can only imagine how fast it is lol. My 82lb Hoyt shoots a 442grain arrow at 328 and it literally punch’s through anything. I love lighter arrows cause of pin gap and speed. My 70lb bows shoot a 346 grain at 340+. Now the down side is the bows are louder yes but I do a lot of target shoots and I’m not changing for hunting and so far everyone that’s went to a rip xv 350 or 300 spine has had full pass through. My dad’s 340 grains rip xv out of a 70 Mathew’s lift has killed 3 deer with the same rip xv arrow shooting 342fps. We shoot faster but I don’t hate on no one for a heavy arrow like most cause shoot what gives u confidence. We are all hunters we should support each other is the way I see it. But great videos man keep up the good work.

I bet you didn’t considering this bow was one of the fastest if not the fastest bow podium archer tested last year IBO wise , and still haven’t seen a 2025 bow that is faster on his tests yet 🤣 My draw length kills speed it is what it is
@JeremyGibson-ni5uu3 күн бұрын
@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA I had a Jennings speed master with 29 inch draw ,yes it's 2 inch longer draw . My was 5 pounds light draw weight it consistently shot 317 fps. At 70 pounds 355 grain arrow. It was not forgiving and very hard to shot. I'm sure the apa is much better
@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA3 күн бұрын
@JeremyGibson-ni5uu 2 inches in draw is a big deal with fps especially on bows nowadays that’s often 10-14 fps change at identical weight Do you still have this if so I wanna see it legit never heard of them Also lastly that bow still isn’t faster than this bow like I said it hit 344 IBO speed testing on reviews I watched of it which is essentially 70 lb draw 350 grain arrow at 30 inch draw So take away 10-14 fps for the draw difference to that bow this is still faster With that said that’s insane speed for that old of a bow

@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA2 күн бұрын
It’s dead quiet , the mic is right next to it as to why you think it’s loud I didn’t test IBO but the IBO test I seen it was 344 which is fast The speeds I got here with my draw length is extremely impressive , 27 inch draw kills speeds especially with most bows being 10-16 fps per inch of draw some faster This bow is a smooth shooter with speed Also I’m shooting over the chrono 15 yards down range which changes speeds as well when most shoot right over it/through it
