The yoking of cams is good but i think they went backwards with the cams. Swapping part out between draw lengths is going backwards.

I thought a longer draw length yielded a faster arrow. The arrow is on the string longer to pick up speed?
@zairemrenthlei94782 ай бұрын
Arrow is also heavier though
@WolfinWolvesClothing7132 ай бұрын
It's not that much heavier. It all depends where the cam ends up at the back wall, and where on the cam the string ends up. Certain mods are going to rotate a little farther or less.
@huntsimple95272 ай бұрын
The split yoke is a step backward in my opinion. The true binary system is the most simple system you can have. I have had every Hoyt bow since they went to the true binary (Ventum, Ventum Pro, VTM, Alpha X, RX7, RX8, etc.) and have had ZERO problems with cam/wheel lean. These bows have tuned easily and in most cases changing the spacers is not needed and when it is needed it is about a 2 minute process. The cool thing is this. If you love a smooth draw, super smooth, keep your RX8 Ultra. If you want tiny bit more speed, pick up the RX9 Ultra. You will shoot both bows the exact same (i.e. the RX9 will not make you a better shooter). Truly zero innovation from Hoyt this year, but that does not mean they are not great bows. The most innovation this year is, by far, Darton. If we are honest.

…shims…nuff said…Hoyt, you would win me over if you had inability without need for a press. Everything else rocks, but using shims to adjust cam lean is sooo 1990’s tech, coming from someone who has dealt with the yard sale that happens 8 times out of 10 when removing the axle, etc.
@josephmarino6985Күн бұрын
Every bow needs a press. String loops and peep. Shims are a one-time tune adjustment. There should be no reason to re shim a bow after the 1st time unless the bow has been damaged or it wasn't done right the 1st time. People that have the ability to touch their equitment with lack of knowledge is nothing more than a money maker for these companies. Warranty work will always require a bow shop and the repair is likely to involve a press. When you see shops with 2 labor rates, there rate and the you did the work yourself rate, people will appreate professional assistance.
