Shwarma or kebab-style chicken made at home is best cooked either on the grill/broiler or in a wok or pan to get that char, and the marinade really needed a little turmeric and maybe some sumak, with probably about twice the amount of the other spices, and instead of lemon juice and vegetable oil try making a paste with olive oil and a little greek yoghurt, which helps the spices stick to the meat.
@MisoHungrie Жыл бұрын
Sounds great! Thanks for the tips 👍
@lordmuhehe4605 Жыл бұрын
You could also blast it with the broiler to get a char.

If the garlic sauce is supposed to be similar to an aioli, normally that’s made with the addition of an egg while slowly introducing all your oil (Not starting with 1/4 cup already in the blender). Maybe this helps it emulsify?
@freelancepear87kakkoka11 Жыл бұрын
there is also the traditional spanish allioli which only has garlic and olive oil. real strong stuff though.

That Giant Onigiri though!!! I kinda want to see you try and tackle that in a short. This book has been in my Amazon cart for sometime and now seeing it featured on this channel makes me want to buy it more 🌺
@MisoHungrie Жыл бұрын
Yeah that onigiri looks epic! I might just have to do a short on that one day 😃
@ashleyl3699 Жыл бұрын
yeah i make shawarma garlic sauce all the time and its super easy to ruin. its best to freeze all the ingredients for half an hour first to get them extremely cold because the heat from the blender can harm the emulsification. also you want to add all the oil in extremely slowly in a think trickle, not a bunch at the start like that. it seemed like a guaranteed failure when you dumped in a bunch of oil at once. if the sauce does fail or split you can fix it by adding egg whites.
@MisoHungrie Жыл бұрын
Ahh freezing the ingredients sounds genius! And yeah I definitely threw everything in way too fast

That final plating for the donuts was so cool! I'd have been a nervous wreck trying to keep everything balanced. Also, for a really good shawarma if you're ever in the area, Newark, DE has a spot called Ali Baba. The chicken in those babies is so flavorful and they have these tangy, julienned pickled turnips in them🤤 Also, mini you in the beginning was very fun😂

I tried the Lucky Dog's Pizza recipe in that, and despite the wild card of having a peanut butter drizzle/dipping sauce, it actually worked surprisingly well for the dish. It's not dissimilar the concept of drizzling honey on pizza, just with a nutty taste. It helps that the recipe had savory ingredients like ham and bacon in there, as well a spicy ingredient with pepperoncini peppers, to help compliment it.
@definitelyhooman7939 Жыл бұрын
They all look so tasty, I might have to cook some of them myself! I'd never heard of a good handful of those ingredients before, so it'll be cool to try cooking with new flavours

@MisoHungrie Жыл бұрын
Thanks! As for the cookbook selection, there's usually a handful that I'm interested in. So I either do a cookbook that's currently relevant OR I hold a poll on my Patreon and the winning cookbook becomes the next episode. I also hold polls for what recipes patrons would like to see in the video. 👍

For those Mochi Muncies, I wonder if an Ice Cream scoop could've sufficed to get a spherelike shape without the hassle of the double spoon technique? It might not be perfectly circular, but for those without the proper dexterity/are just lazy it might be worth it.

@@MisoHungrie yeah i'm essentially F2P (i actually buy the season pass at the end of each season because i want to support the game but i personally like the challenge of playing F2P) and have been playing since global launch in October. It does take a while to get most of the cards, but honestly i really like the rate of card acquisition as i get a nice little dopamine hit every time i open a new cache hoping it will be some new card i need! I'm currently 8 cards away from being Series 3 complete and its only been in the last month that i have felt like can make the majority of the big decks that are played (minus the Thanos deck... it will be a while until i can play that haha) anyways, i hope to see you on the Ladder sometime! enjoy!
