Because of the design of the cookbook I feel like even though you could apply some of these techniques to normal cooking, I feel like these kinds of recipes would be more applicable for a Halloween or Spooky-themed party. Really great video btw!

This reminds me a lot of the Halo Cookbook from awhile back, which i guess is appropriate given how both these franchises are light on actual in-universe recipes. However, while the Halo Cookbook tried to awkwardly insert itself into Established Canon, the ALIEN Cookbook doesn't even try, instead just presenting a bunch of normal recipes modified to look like the titular extra terrestrials and idk what approach I prefer. The recipes seem nice, but as your review says, work better if you leave out the Alien bits and just make the normal dish, which idk seems kind of a waste if you're getting this for the Alien stuff. Why not just make your own dish and slap some almond teeth on it, instead of paying for this book? Even the Sleeve looks like a generic Garten Varianty Cookbook at first glance, which again kinda defeats the point of buying this as merchandise if the only question you'll likely get is "Why is there a random Cookbook in your ALIEN Collection?".

Got me thinking -- after watching mind-boggling "League of Legends" review - that there actually are some unofficial cook books - like The Shire Cook Book - that are not bad, and which are, in matter of fact handled at least with... maybe respect would be a proper word here. Just thinking out loud, nothing else, but would love to see you covering some of those too in addition to official companions and products. Oh, and just to point out that the example I used is written by the same Monroe-Cassel who made the official companion to WoW you covered awhile back.

Thanks for watching the videos! Generally, I stick to official cookbooks since I find the visuals a lot more interesting. Usually they contain official artwork and imagery that unofficial cookbooks are missing and those visuals are really good in immersing the reader in that world which I really like. I might still do unofficial cookbooks later on but for now I'm still leaning towards the official ones 👍

I came to this video expecting a good time with some lovely food only to be confronted with the truth. 5 Guys is just better in every single way. Usually I like to have a snack when I watch your videos because I get hungry but not this time around. Alien is not the first movie that comes to mind when I think food, it might actually be among the very bottom. Still, it was a creative take on the franchise but I agree that more lore integration in the cookbook would have been very welcome.

I scared to watch Alien cookbook, because I don't know what weird stuff are be there, but let give it a chance. And anyone would ask me no, I didn't watched any Alien movie. I only watched let's play of game Alien Isolation once and that was enough. No more. I had nightmares with Alien from this game.
