I enjoy your videos! I’m an old man, and been riding street for last 30 yrs.. I grew up on dirt bikes, did a few hare scrambles but then had a family… anyway, getting back to my roots, and the x trainer is so forgiving, light and tractable, it’s extending the time being able to ride dirtbikes again! My only gripe is the user friendliness of the odo/ computer. I don’t trust the hr meter, so going for a stand alone one…

That’s awesome to hear! Its a fantastic bike for getting back into it! Light, nimble, and a friggen tractor! Couldn’t agree more about the stock odometer! I have the trail tech for my hours!

@ exactly Aaron! The thing is a freak’n 2 wheeled tractor!! I did this long, rock steep climb the other day, and I’m like, how is this thing just crawling along in third gear, finger on the clutch but no need!

Spend a thousand dollars on the suspension and you're right there with the rest of the advanced bikes. I ride with guys that use Trainers and they absolutely shred. The bikes are super durable and you are 100% correct about the kickstarter, you don't need to add one. One guy we ride with has over 10,000 miles and 500 hours on stock bottom end including the starter! Crazy good bike, those Beta's.

Just added an fmf gnarly for a RR to my 23 xtrainer....it really opens up the power all around compared to stock, and provides even more low end torque so even less gear changing. Would recommend! AMP Suspension is next on the list

I upgraded to the Beta Sach's factory suspension front and rear (albeit like 3k), but the bike is a weapon in all conditions now.

It's definitely a hard enduro machine. It won't keep up in the high speed hare scramble section but slow technical is awesome. I'm not a big fan of the bike in standard form tho and for "me" it needs a few modifications. Great video mate. Cheers from the Team here. 💪💪

@Garage2Trail before I’m willing to spend thousands more on the bike, I’m gonna finish paying the bike off 😆 until then I’ll just “deal with it”. adding a new front gummy tire did help a lot with keeping it more planted
@Garage2Trail
@Garage2Trail 11 ай бұрын
@@AaronsEnduro good idea lol. I’m still running the stock front tire and It does not inspire confidence whatsoever when I’m chopping along an off camber section with hidden rocks and small logs…she wants to wash out a lot in those situations unless I’m very precise with wheel placement. That’s probably my biggest gripe with the bike now, and nice to hear a simple tire change can help. Thanks!
@AaronsEnduro

@Garage2Trail swaping to gummy tires front n rear made a huge difference, threw a kenda ibex on up front and a dunlop at81ex on the rear and its a whole new weapon. The front tire made a huge boost in confidence knowing the front end will hold instead of washing out

I love your videos man, and your honesty. I wanted to do some jumps as well so the X trainer just wasn't for me unfortunately but I do like it alot. I'm 95kilos and 6ft so I ended up going a new ktm 350excf 2023 on special. I just couldn't do the 2 stroke even though I did want too but I wanted something I'm used too. I do love it though.

Rode with a number of buddies on XTs. Good bikes for what they are designed for. I have had a couple of Beta 300rr bikes and I think they provide everything good on what the XT does then also beyond what the XT can't do. If you feel you have outgrown the XT get a 300rr.
@AaronsEnduro
@AaronsEnduro 11 ай бұрын
One thing the 300rr can never be is the smaller frame size of the x trainer. Although id like to have both and make one into a street legal 2 stroke lol i still love the x trainer, just not specifically when we’re doing more flowy fast trails. When were in the gnar its a fantastic bike

OK, but what about reliability? Parts availability? Manufactures defects, Warranties? Maintenance?
@AaronsEnduro

Reliable as can be, not one single issue, ive never been held back from a ride due to reliability. Only defects i had were the speedo not working and the front main sprocket seal leaked but beta covered both under warranty. Maintenance is the same as any other 2 stroke bike

@@AaronsEnduro sounds like it from what I've seen. I'm on the fence with ordering one while I still can, but need to do a bit more homework on cost to upgrade one way or the other. It seems to be the only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger just yet.

@kbw9008 ask yourself, are you riding more techy single track, or more open fast flowing trails and roads? If its the first choice, its a great bike, If its the second option, theres plenty of other bikes better suited to doing so

What year is your bike? I know 20-22 they had a bad run of bearings that made it into some 250/300's. I believe Beta USA was replacing complete motors if it happened.

Spot on review imho I’d like to add the stock suspension doesn’t work the best at fairly high speed that is true but I run through trails and tracks at a solid 30-40mph and it’s fine if I run heavy woops then I have issues but the suspension has nothing to do with it 😂honestly though they are not great for hammering but anything else they work very well
@AaronsEnduro
@AaronsEnduro 11 ай бұрын
When I’m trying to ride through river rock or blast rock the suspension feels terrible beyond 3rd gear. Hop onto my buddies te300 or xcw300 and it was night and day difference! If it’s smooth terrain it didn’t matter that much, but it was substantial IMO on the rocky terrain!
@davet3947
@davet3947 11 ай бұрын
Yeah I would agree with you there but the xtrainer should be looked at as and I believe you do, as a trail bike that can and does exceed all expectations imo. If potential buyers are looking for a cheap 300 to hit the track or race the xtrainer is not the machine for that.
