Hey Zac, what makes putting a vintage 30 in a deluxe reverb so good. I have a 64 that i put a Twinsound Cream Alnico 12 ( German made) in it and it sounds pretty darn amazing. Even the old 70’s acoustic control corp metal domed 12 was good. The original speaker is long gone, id like to get your take on it. Cheers, Perry

My 64 HW had a lot of noise issues when I would run my board into it… I had to return it…

Dang! Sorry to hear that. I presume you didn’t have any noise issues with other amps using the same board?

@@RiggsTaylor Nope… Ive been running my pedals through a gigrig quartermaster so it really came down to the amp having problems with pedals in general. I’ve searched on forums and other people had that kind of noise problems too… the seller told me that point to point wiring can cause noise with pedals…

Interesting! That seems strange to me, surely Fender would’ve worked that kink out before releasing it.

I feel like it’s the best and most versatile amp. I have the V30 speaker in mine. The Matchless Lightning 2x10 ain’t bad either 😂

Both killer! If this wasn’t all original I’d drop a v30 in mine. Had a Lightning 2x10 I traded for to flip, but enjoyed it while I had it!

This is a great amp but to call any amp G.O.A.T. is saying 1 paintbrush or canvas is the G.O.A.T. Just tools does what it does and others do what they do. TOOLS ! Use them to make your ART! I got a Boogie S O B. Greatest clean you will ever deal with. But just a TOOL . Not a Marshall sound anywhere. Sometimes you need a Marshall sound. Where's your Goat then. I don't have that 1 either.

Yeah, as with anything music related, it’s subjective. That’s why I asked the question and didn’t give an answer 😎 I agree, it’s a tool for a job. For a lot of people the Deluxe Reverb is the best tool for their job, but to each his own.
