I have one T5 and also a T50 for bigger gigs, they both are extremely good amps. Never had a problem with them no noises, damaged tubes or any malfunction, plus a great tone for my taste. Good purchase for the money both of them.

technician that opened mine bugerat5 said that it has very cheep processor inside and 14 vires goes thru it, and that sound is processed. Yes it sounds great and tubes effects on sound very much, but this is NOT all tube

Yes the Phat switch can be muddy with a Humbucker, but with a Tele or a Strat it sounds very nice indeed

Does it require a separate attenuator like torpedo in your case in order to connect it to the audio interface? Btw which torpedo do you have ? 8ohm or 16 ohm? Thanks in advance!

Great review. I was looking into the micro Orange amps. I dont do much gigging and want a small amp for home and open mics. I think Im sold on this baby. Play a LP Jr, Blues, classic rock for most part. Going to build a 1x10 cab. You had me sold on the Dark orange, but this is more my style i think. Peace

Fantastic review! Do you like the Bugera T5 more than the Orange Micro Terror?
@SoulStringChannel Жыл бұрын
Hey buddy! Thank for your message! Really appreciate it 😊! Honestly I think they are both fantastic! Probably the Bugera feels and reacts like a bigger amp also cause it's all tube and is slightly more versatile! BUT! I have to say I like the little orange better for my playing! It just has a bit more Attitude! It's more of a rock n roll amp and if you like that typical orange sound it really delivers ! I think it's just a bit more unique! It really depends on what sound you like, I find the Bugera a bit more "polite" the Orange is just a simple rock sound ! What kind of music do you play?

Many thanks for the response! It’s tough to choose between them. I mainly play music from blues to hard rock (helped by a Tube Screamer and Rat). The reverb on the Bugera sounds great (but not sure if it’s worth the price difference!). I also wonder which would handle a rehearsal situation better - as both might struggle with a drummer?

Hi there, Can someone explain what a "dark" amp is? I usually think of musical tones and time signatures when the sound of music is described as dark. Also, can an amp set clean still be "dark"?
@ikotsus2448 Жыл бұрын
Bright is with prominent high frequencies and dark is with less high frequencies (like a treble knob turned down)
@scottclydesdale1674 Жыл бұрын
thank you kotsus2448. Considering the Bugera v5infinium vs Blackstar ht5r mk2, and the term "dark" seems to be associated more with the Bugera amps.@@ikotsus2448

How does it take distortion pedals?
@SoulStringChannel Жыл бұрын
Great question! So obviously it doesn't have an effects loop which is a pity but in front if you push it with an overdrive it sounds fantastic! Really good! I also think if you have a distortion pedal you love if you set the amp clean then it sounds killer! It's a very versatile amp!

Would an EQ pedal in front of the amp help with tailoring the sound you’re looking for?

I put an amperex el84 and a mullard 12ax7(both vintage) in the bugera for a british flavor...it's warm but dark just as described in the video...I found the phat switch to be useless as it just makes it darker, not bad though overall for what it is or I would have moved it on by now, I settled for that instead of a super champ which was more than twice the price and features because it just has more character and it runs quieter...and like most, it seems to be at its best at the proper 4 ohm output, I'm running it through a 6" jensen and a 12" EV or celestion wired in parallel for a mix of accentuated highs and full body
@joe-dp3ng Жыл бұрын
@@jasondorsey7110 ok I use an older boss EQ but any will do it's a must for me to get the tone I like. Now that the sound is warmer you have a good pedal platform because that's what I did. You should remember that the infinitum circuit runs the tubes at 85 to 90 percent not 95 to 100 so you get long life out of them. If you play with your wattage you will find it's brighter on 5 watts than 1 Watt. But put the gain at half or less and volume higher to open up the tone. You need to run pedals into it for more gain and you will find its a great pedal amp.
@joe-dp3ng Жыл бұрын
My feeling is an amp that Is to bright in a crappy nasal way still sounds nasty to me if I add bass. A slightly darker amp that sounds good is easier to get right with an eq. That's just my opinion but the top amps are expensive for a reason. I have looked at mine and tested a few of the components and found that you get decent quality for the money. Speakers speakers 🔊 speakers my friend will definitely get you what your looking for. I think you have real good tubes. I put a high gain sovtec el84 in but I'm keeping the jj 12ax7 in for sure.
@jasondorsey7110 Жыл бұрын
@@joe-dp3ng I wouldn't have bothered with such valuable tubes if it weren't for the infinium feature, I've had those tubes in for a few years now without problems...I have an mxr 10 band eq on my pedalboard, you're certainly right about that being essential
