Had my T50 for a few years and its a fantastic problem free pedal platform. I agree with the boys about the fizz when the gain is too high, but if you use OD/Fuzz/Distortion pedals then you’ll be laughing! The freedom to use different types of tubes together is amazing, and they really do last longer.

This is gold! I will absolutely be getting this small one and a cab to go with it this year. Also, thanks for using an affordable Telecaster and presenting the whole package in a realistic price range for a lot of people. I'm not, of course, counting the pedal board and pedals, as I think they're irrelevant at these price points and even more so for beginners.

I used a Squier Affinity HSS through it (pretty much all I did was 9-42 xls) out of the box and yeah sounded great. I fucked around with the settings also on my various Solar guitars and Ibanez Pia and have it set up the way I like it for all them. Ping me if you want a pic etc of mine. Tip for you tone cut zero.

Once you catch the pedal bug too, you're donezo. So addicting, especially like the dl4 mkii delay in the oceans 11 reverb. And nothing beats a solid OD.

I have been a Bugera fan for the better part of 9 years. My first Bugera was a pre Infinium 333XL 2x12 combo amp. I bought it used, 9 years ago. Never any issues and it still works as it did when I bought it ( Tube changes are a given when gigging with any amp). Next, I bought a TriRec Infinium, which is an absolute tone monster. It is among my top 4 amps in my collection... and again, never any issues with it. For budget amps, Bugera is the best bang for the buck, on the market. Anyone that bashes Bugera, has never owned one, talking from what they've heard from someone who owned a 1st gen model ( which did have some issues)... or is simply a "name brand", cork sniffer. Personally I own Marshall's, VHT, Peavey's, Sovetek, Crate, Bad Cat, Black Heart, as well as a couple of Ceriatone, hand wired Boutique amps. It doesn't matter what name is on the front of an amp... the only thing that matters, is what it does and whether it is reliable... and Bugera checks both boxes. Just my 2 cents.

I recently bought the T50 and love it despite seeing a poor review on another channel. In that channel a commenter mentioned a couple of things and so I asked him a few questions before I bought mine even though the review and comments were a year old. He got back to me, answered my questions and so I bought it. Great amp. Don’t use the tone cut. Mine is set to zero. I’ll be adding the T5 too based on my experience with the T50. I pretty much stay in the clean channel and drive it with overdrive when needed and have other pedals etc going through the effects loop. Great value amps and a great review 🤘🎸😎🍻

I've had a T5 for a couple of years now. Really cool little amp. The Phat switch as I understand it, bypasses the eq section giving a fixed eq profile with a mid push. I don't think it is supposed to add gain per se, but the mid push certainly makes it seem like it does.

I have the t50, and have owned a lot of amps, including the marshall jcm800, a similar amp to the T50. Not only the T50 is a great amp, I like it MORE than the jcm800. Feed a Tubescreamer type overdrive to it, and it will do all a good Marshall would do, and more. The bass pot along the 'phat' button give the PERFECT bass response, which in a lot of amps is either weak or boomy sounding. A lot of people don't understand how brilliant is the Infinium, so they dismiss it as a 'gimmick'.....The T50, if I remember well from the schematic, has a superb, 'purist' tube preamp....no diodes, ICs, transistor generated overdrive anywhere. I don't mind a diode in a tube preamp, but in the t50 they preferred to install more tube stages, something companies don't do easily, because it increases the cost (a diode is a lot cheaper than a tube, which requires additional expensive components). Moreover, the preamp uses DC heaters. Even the phase splitter uses that, which is pretty incredible, I think this is uncommon in many amps. I often think how happy players who were really big in the 1970's, such as Clapton, would have been if given this amp. I can imagine any of these guys grinning. Clapton sometimes used a Fender Champ to record. The Champ is a cheap design compared to the t50....the t50 would have torn the Champ to pieces...

I know the chrome chassis has nothing to do with the sound but the fact that these can get that clangy, metallic tone that i always have the most trouble finding gives the aesthetics a nice touch. They once made the ultimate budget amp, the TriRec, it was sadly very short lived. Had a built-in attenuator which they called ''Varipower'' it was about £566 for such a versatile monster head. Making smaller versions of it, so it could reach lower budget people and people only playing at home where it needs to be a bit quieter would have been such a win for them.

Construction is pretty much in line with any other Chinese made amps. I actually really liked the pre infinium amps because they are very easy to work on. Schematics are readily available and components are common and cheap. It also doesn't hurt that they share a lot of DNA with the amps they copy. If you've worked on a 5150 then a 6260 is going to give you some serious deja vu. Now Egnaters, that's a name that just makes me sad. They sound great, have some incredible features, and they're very well designed but talk about poor build quality. Those amps are a time bomb, especially the full size heads. Which is really a shame.

I have an Infinium G5 head into a 2x12 cab. Mostly home use, 1W is perfect though still annoys my wife! Occasionally thought about changing it, but there is nothing as good at the price, with such versatility. I'm adding a 1x10 or maybe 1x12 cab as a 2x12 is just too much for the house.

On the Andertons website, it may appear that you are getting a very good deal on this item as it has been reduced from £449 to £269 but as you can hear in this video from 2 years ago, this amp’s RRP was actually £299 at that time. So just don’t be fooled guys.

@@xebio6 It is 5 watts, but through a pa system which could be mic'ed up or via the direct output on the amp, then it could cut it.

What your saying is that it has an active bias system that constantly adjusts the bias on the power tubes for optimum performance. That isn't needed for preamp tubes because they run a very low current levels and last for decades if well made. However, the stock Chinese made Bugera tubes aren't great quality, and an upgrade to some good Sovtek or JJ tubes might improve the sound quality. My Behringer VTM pedal sounded much better with an EHX 12AX7 instead of the stock Bugera one

Valves don’t change the sound they will only affect how soon it breaks up and even then it’s a crap shoot, as long as they work don’t change them.

I have an old V22 (pre Infinum), I've had to change the output xfmr (own fault) but it sounds effing awesome. It doesn't really sound like anything else, it does it's own thing. Also the footswitch is metal and made quite nicely.

The 50 watt head had switches on the back to change from push/pull AB to A Class . This feature though mentioned. Was never demonstrated. Especially relevant as Lee and Pete said the distortion hd a little fizz in the top end? The other vairant from what ever the 50 was set at could have changed that? Well, we'll never know?

Yeah I wondered too if they had it in AB causing the fizz

I have that T50. Yup. Fizzy is the word! Buzzy-ish? The dirt channel is shite with every guitar/pedal eq combo I have tried so far sadly. I do like a good crunch b4 I hit it with boosts and drives. It's a pretty good amp if you like your base sound clean and you get all of your grit from pedals bc it's 50 watts clean and LOUD thru any cab. The Turbosound Bugera cabs don't help it on dirt either as I found one and blasted it. Play mine thru an Egnater 2x12 Tweaker cab. Not the best. Or worst. If you want a tube amp that will get loud and stay clean at a very good price, then I would recommend this head. If you want crunch or dirt from a head b4 you hit it hard then this isn't the amp for you.

Can anyone recommend a good cabinet for these affordable type of amp heads (Bugera, Joyo, Orange, etc.)? I've only had combo amps and so amp heads and separate cabs are new territory for me.
