True, its 4.1 sec real Dragy time, lower power to weight than a C7 base, and an avg sales price of $83,000 (a 60% price hike for lower performance and putrid track times) doesn't matter to the 12K instagram whores who bought one. After the C4, I kinda lost that "wow" factor from the factory exhausts. Finally, a Corvette that sounds absolutely fantastic for the first time in almost 25 years. Probably one of the best sounding factory cars ever.

Yes! I absolutely LOVE the C8 HTC, and the RAPID BLUE paint with the same color interior and the darker contrast looks amazing! I dont really care that the engine isnt as visible as with the coupe, as I plan to extensively “modify” mine (twin turbos, big cam, heads, top end, fuel, etc) so it has massive hp until either the Z06 or ZR1/Zora is available. I dont want to give away what I have under the hood (what do you even call that part over a mid-engine, anyway?) so being somewhat hidden is no issue. Thanks for the TERRIFIC camera work, great CONTENT, and I love anything to do with ‘Vettes!

Wow. A C8 Stingray with the Z51 package, in Rapid Blue. What a smokin' ride especially with Lori highlighting it on the cam. The only option it needs is a manual transmission. Compared to it's competitors $90K is bargain. Great review! Love that car!

The car I ordered in July 2019 just showed up tonight at the dealership. It’s a Z 51. HTC. I haven’t even seen it in person yet and I would definitely go with a Z06HTC. I actually am fifth on the list to get one in 2022. A major must have!

I’m 48 now and have never forgotten Ford dealers back in the 1980’s wouldn’t even show you a 5.0 Mustang unless you were over 30 and gave them a deposit check. They used to keep Shelby/Cobra Mustangs in the showroom. They were always $20k over sticker.

I remember being at Road Atlanta running my C5R-427, and during the lunch break, 3 Panoz Racing Team drivers were at our table. We had a discussion about auto vs manual. The Panoz drivers said very few people really know how to optimize a manual tyranny on a race course and the vast majority (>90%) lose time. Personally I am very happy that the C8 has the 8 speed auto.

I have the 2021 Corvette Hard top convertible. The paint scheme is Zeuse BRONZE with stingy decal markings along the hood with silver racing stripes along the whole body. 642 Hp, I waited almost 18 months to take delivery from Best Chevrolet in Kenner. Well worth the wait. Thinking about trading up to the 2025 Corvette Suv.

To answer your question, Joe... no. The ADM has been a headache for generations, but it’s getting out of hand. And it’ll keep many of these great machines in showrooms (and “rich guy” garages) rather than on the roads and in the hands of working class people where they belong. Dealt with this at Ford with the 500: can I afford a $150k car... sure. Will I pay $150k for a Mustang of ANY kind - ESPECIALLY one with a MSRP at $88K? Hell no. As some others have mentioned - just pretty much pushed me toward the European brands. Shame, because some good things are coming out of these American companies the past few years.

Joe, The C8 Z51 has a rear gear ratio of 5.17 and the base car has a 4.89 ratio. Another reason for the lower top speed. Great video! I have a Z51 Rapid blue coupe .

I’ve never owned a convertible until this C8 came available. T-Tops & Targa Tops, yes, but I have never been a Rag Top Fan! I’ve been used to seeing $4,000 as the typical charge for a Corvette convertible, so $7,500 came as a surprise for the HTC. IMO, totally worth it!!! The convenience of the button to have the top up or down is a game changer for me. It’s been there for years, but there have been manual tops that were associated with a lot of cars and Rag Tops. Oh, I was surprised that I was able to purchase my C8 at MSRP! I for once, “Was That Guy”! At the right place, at the right time! 7/20/2021 I stopped by one of my “local” (9 miles away from my house) Chevrolet dealerships after coming off the PA Turnpike. We were returning from visiting friends down East and my wife was ok with stopping by the dealership since we were getting home a little early. I went into the dealership and asked a salesman if I could get on their C8 allocation reservation list. I was advised they don’t have a list! I was told the first person through the door with a $5,000 deposit would get their first and perhaps only allocation. 7/21/2021 The next morning, I was there a half hour before they opened with my deposit. I asked about the selling price and was informed it would be sold at MSRP. Answer: Absolutely not. I am a big Corvette fan and Corvette owner but the Corvette, like all new cars, is a depreciating asset. In a few years, the new C8's will be selling for discounts and 2021 used Corvettes will be selling for 30%-50% less than new, depending on mileage. Wait until the dealers are selling C8's with discounts. It will happen. Also note that in 1-2 years, GM will come out with a ZO6 and used Z51 C8 Vettes will be traded in by their owners to get the ZO6. Better yet, keep your C6 or C7 and invest your money in Blue Chip stocks or Bitcoin.

Just sold my C7 Z06 for $10k more than i bought it for last August. My previous C8 coupe sold $20k profit last June. (Only had it 2 months). So my new C8 convertible coming next week will be effectively $30k off MSRP... i can drive this one for 2-3 yrs and not lose a penny 👌

I ready want to buy this car but the one thing STOPPING ME IS, I can only buy it if it has 4 people seats, on a 2 door And the option to get a v6 turbo, just like GTR Nissan .....
