I'm from Brazil and the price difference is HUGE. I can buy the Meike or R$300 while the Canon here is around R$1.200 . But I already own a Meike adapter for my M200 for 2 years and never had an issue, it's simply excellent. I own the lens Canon 50mm f1.8, Yongnuo 100mm f2 and Canon 75-300mm f4-5.6. Now going to a FullFrame, I almost bought the Viltrox for R$200 but I went for the Meike because of the experience I had and also for being weather proof, while other cheaper adapters are not.

I appreciate your content, brother! I am a music guy with an immense love for video content, and integrating mirrorless into my setup. Just picked up the R7 and have some decent EF glass, but I also grabbed the RF 35mm f/1.8 and it hasn’t left the body. Might I ask what picture profile are you using for these indoor shots? Keep doing your thing! Cheers, M

HI, big fan of your videos. You are one only KZbinrs I can trust when it comes to reviews. This camera has been sitting in my cart waiting on your approval, would you recommend this camera for weddings and other events? Also, does it have reliable autofocus when using adapters with EFS and EF lenses?

Thanks so much for your comment. I think it is good but you should probably watch this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZ2ugXqIg8eFe6c. There are a lot of little things about the camera that annoy me when it comes to shooting video, but most all of them can be fixed in firmware. Don't know whether canon will fix them though. The AF works really well when using the adapters. If you are a hybrid shooter, it's a great option, but if you mainly shoot video like me, then the fx30 is a better option in my opinion. I just got one.

How does R7's IBIS compares to Sony A7 IV's? Is it significatnly better or is it in the same ballpark? I am looking to upgrade from my Canon M6 Mark II and I was leaning towards the R7 but with the latest price drops from Sony the price difference seems to not around more or less $300 + tax converting from the local currency here in Poland. Now I am kind of at a crossroad wondering if it makes sense to pay the premium and get the Sony. I am a hybrid shooter doing mainly family and travel photos and videos, mainly for personal use.

It is good IBIS when using the correct lens, but it isn't knock your socks off better. I have never used the Sony A7 IV but I now have the Sony Fx30. I find the IBIS in both the r7 and Sony to function similarly. It's hard to say, but the Sony does have a ton of lens options. I might talk more about this in a live stream that I am think of doing

I am new to your channel and new to video - Is this a lens that I could put on my canon EOS RP And move from just taking pictures and go into video (with this camera) by purchasing a lens with movie stabilization?
@MichaelWTurner Жыл бұрын
This video is more about the lens adapters more than a specific lens, but yes, any lens with image stabilization is helpful when shooting video. The RP would require canon Full Frame lenses. I believe all of the lenses in this video were for the cropped APS-C sensor

These adapters still work even after canon got rid of all third party options?

Yes

Would you consider a speed booster for the R7?

Yes, I would.

It's not about the adapters but about the lenses bro. I AM SURE Canon can fix this with firmware. I will make some tests myself and attach them, so that you can see what I am thinking and writing about.
