I like the look of that gear groove a lot. The bottle cage adapter mount on the back of the seatpost is a very welcome addition as well. On hilly triathlon course a roadbike with clipons is the way to go. A couple of years ago one of the pro's won Ironman Nice with a setup like that, can't remember who it was. Lots of agegroupers are often undecided to either take a road or triathlon bike on a hilly longcours. I'm glad Canyon is getting back to its old ways of solid innovation.

buyer beware: Wow look at the nice new shiny bike, it’s a beautiful piece of German engineering, but I want to let you know of my experience with Canyon Aeroad CF SL8. I too was delighted with the thought of a sophisticated bike at a reasonable price point. It came with a 6 year warranty, but that warranty is useless. I have logged over 30 thousand miles on my Specialized Allez with no major issues, I have replaced the gear cable for the rear derailleur a couple of times and the tires only once. My 11 month canyon had to have the bottom bracket replaced after only 5,000 miles. I reported this to Canyon and they are blaming me for not taking proper care of my bike. I loved this bike and looked after it accordingly. Washed at least once a week (no pressure wash) locked in the garage overnight and stored in the basement during the winter. After finding a mechanic who would repair my bike (most technician won’t ever look at a Canyon) he told me that the bottom bracket is a cheap one that has no seal against water and debris intrusion. It breaks my heart to have to write this but if I can at least help one person with this it will be worth it. Canyon did offer me a $75.00 voucher on their web site but to me thats useless.

Dude, whoever is editing your videos needs to isolate the audio track from your lav mic and double it up to make it stereo- it’ll be much cleaner ; maybe take out the audio from the top mic- clear that the editor has used it to sync the audio for the cut- but you need to do a better audio mix- currently exporting with two unmixed audio tracks- which is why it sounds weird. If you need a bit of guidance- drop me a message :) no harm no foul but it detracts from the quality of the video overall and is distracting- make sure you do this for future videos ☺️👊🏽

The only true innovation possible nowadays would be to change the antiquated, exposed, chain driven drive train, used in its current form for a hundred years. It works and it works well but s minimal maintenance, sealed system, shaft or belt driven would be good. Attempts have been made and there are the heavy Rohlof and Alfine hubs with planetary gearing but nothing of note yet for lightweight racers.
